Semifinal matchups:
ADMU A vs ADMU B
UPD A vs UPD D
The final round's probably done by now. They're probably having a great time feasting on the buffet table. hehe

Thank God! Finally, UP won.
Congrats to UP and Ateneo! Especially to UP. It's about time UP wins. Otherwise, Ateneo will get the usual bashing from the insecure PEXers. Palaging panalo kasi eh. It's getting boring.
Hope UST, Mapua, DLSU, FEATI, CSB, Assumption, etc. also start winning competitions.
Congrats again!

FYI, DLSU was the champion in the 2002(?) IIDC. They beat ateneo in the finals.

Congratulations!
nakakapagod na talagang magcongratulate sa UP. whew!
Pwede ba UP vs NUS naman o kaya UP vs UHK o kaya UP vs U Malaya, etc?
UP vs pipichuging skul bukol, parang walang kwenta ang pag-congratulate...
kung mapapansin nyo, pag iabng skul ang nananalo against UP, ang tindi ng pagcongratulate nila kasi parang merong kasabay na miracle ang pagkakapanalo. They know that in that point in time, tinalo nila ang pinakamagaling sa lahat. parang hinihimatay nga pagnatalo nila ang UP. Kung sabagay, bibihira lang naman nila natitikman yan. pagbigyan nalang...

I got to watch the final round. I enjoyed Sir Martin's (my accounting classmate this sem:Congrats!) speech. really really witty and sarcastic... The Ateneo team was also great, and I liked their third speaker. i believe that would be Sharmila the Indian girl, right? Hmmm... Ateneo's second speaker had a sexy voice. harhar.
I got a feeling that Stirling in non-UP. pampagulo lang siya dito.

pangalawa na 'to sa UPD (back to back). Ateneo has the record though of reaching the finals for four consecutive years.

Tulad mo, hindi ako taga UP pero hanga ako sa galing ng mga isko, kaya gusto ko icongratulate yung mga nanalo.
diba, taga UST ka?

Didn't Carl Ng - last year's champion and best speaker - join? If he did, it would surely have been a UP vs UP in the Finals.

i assume you wanted to say: "it's not our forte". typo error, right?
anyhow, debating is not any schoo'ls forte. really. You Mapuans can start training anytime you want. No one's stopping you guys.

as for Carl, anong rest?.... as far as i know he's also doing his thesis with Ben.

i'm inviting you to my college graduation on the 23rd of April. I hope you can come so that I can finally slap my UP diploma and swipe my UP ID in your (I assume) nightmarish face.
It'll be held at the UP FILM INSTITUE (formerly UP FILM CENTER)....

Congrats to UP!
I'm from de Ateneo but i really think UP is the best in all fields. almost all of us here in Ateneo did not pass in UP that's why we settled for this school.

Thank God! UP won for a change. It's getting boring with the Ateneo dominating most of the Philippine academic competitions. Some sore losers are accusing us of "lutong macau" raw.
Congrats to UP for winning! At last!
Congrats to Ateneo as well for winning the Final's Best Speaker! Now let's move on and win the really important, big competitions! :spinstar:

What's this a prank? How long have you lived in the boondocks, granny? This is a back-to-back win for UP, and to think, these UP representatives participate in debates with their own initiatives - no school support, unlike de Ateneo.
Well, some people who were in the event have been saying Ateneo would have placed well in the semi-finals had they minimised their "ammmm" in between phrases.
Sorry, the best debaters from the best school win. Better luck next time.
