when i WAS in college, i usually wore a polo shirt, jeans and casual shoes. no jewelries, just a digital watch to know kung tatakbo na ba ako kasi late na ako! :)

btw, the polo shirt should be white. dunno why, nakasanayan na lang siguro, tsaka malamig pag white, di ba?

back in college, i usually wear t-shirt, shorts and yes - slippers!!! my dad nga, whenever he sees me about to leave tatanungin n'ya pa ako kung saan ako pupunta with that outfit, aba'y siyempre sa school saan pa? my org mates ko nga, whenever they see me wearing pants (which happens one or twice a month) feeling nila may importanteng lakad ako after school, he! he! he! :)

I don't know if this trend still holds true, but when I was in college, freshies usually wear really spiffy outfits while the upperclassmen dress down.

I'm thinking that freshmen have this thing for showing off their best outfits to make an impression. The veteran students, on the other hand, are already comfortable with the campus and their blockmates that they start dressing down a bit.

Does this still happen?

my friends n i were talking about it nga before e..tapos sabi namin..tingnan mo sila..obvious na freshmen, kasi pormadong-pormado :) hehehe... :)

We have a dress code (smart casual) so I'm usually in dressy pants, skirt sometimes, with a blouse or polo. But when we don't have to dress up, jeans with a shirt or polo. Though dress code or none, I usually have sandals for my footwear. :)

nix & broom: hahaha! very true. madalas hindi lang sa porma ng clothes mo makikita kung freshmen pa ba yung mga dumadaan sa harap mo or hindi na. pag medyo marami nang pimples at gusut-gusot na ang face, alam mong veteran student na. sa dami ng pinagdaanang problema, teachers at projects nagkaganun na ang mukha.

siyempre nung freshman ako porma din ako, until wala na akong bagong maisuot at nag-ulit na ako ng damit... :)

hmm depends on what day...if i got lab, i usually wear scruffy pants and an old shirt (i ruined two pairs of pants last year because of that stupid methyl orange experiment in Ch28)

shempre when i was a frosh too I dressed like that den, when i was a bit comfortable with the people around me and they accepted me na as myself and no need to impress them, i started dressing down or dressing simpler.

Fall/winter seasons, I like wearing my black boots and leather jacket. It's important to keep warm in all that snow. Wear that chapstick too.

Spring/summer seasons, I like to strip to comfy khakis, skirt or pants, with a nice light-colored top, and flip-flops (slippers) or sandals complete with a pair of shades and lip gloss.

when i was still in UP, i was kinda maporma in my first few months (hehe obvious na freshman!! BWAHAHA LOL) but as the school year went on, i started to dress down to shorts, shirt and flip flops :D

Well here, its a whole different story :D
fall-sweater, capris(still trying to deny the fact that my ankles are freezing!), jeans, pants or a skirt(with high boots or tights and loafers)

winter-lemme count the layers: 1st is a tank top, 2nd is a t-shirt, 3rd is a long sleeved shirt over it, 4th is a sweater and to top it all off, my 3/4 length pea coat..add the scarf, gloves and dinky cap..oh yah, under my pants is tights because i cant stand thermal underwear...hehehe

spring-back to my capris and shirts and skirts...maybe a light sweater....my favorite denim jacket(now it's all over town! even the Gap has those jackets!!), slides or sandals or flip flops :)

for some reason, i go through different phases..and can never just stick to one style. as a freshman, i was more into jeans and what-the-hell-was-i-thinking-when-i-bought-this type of shirts with loafers, belt and bag. funny cause when we were in highschool, we were already conceptualizing this kind of porma. we always saw college people from lasalle wearing the standard polo,loafers,belt and bag set and felt na, heyy, so that's the look...come 2nd yr, i became more adventurous..i tried the capri, the pedals, the whole cameron diaz attire, the sporty spice look, the just rolled out of the bed and i don't care look, the wers the party look and the just came out an MSO runway so get out of my face look. of course, with all this came the respective attitude. then, out of nowhere, i became tired of making porma..and so out came the big shirts, out came the comfy sneakers, that old jose cuervo shirt...that stage that attacks all dlsu students when they look in their closets and realize..."la na pala ako damit" and start rummaging through their bro's closets instead. :)

ito lang yung hate ko pag wala kang uniform sa school... nauubusan ka talaga ng damit... pero totoo yung mga sinabi niyo... the freshmen people are really the ones na porma for a long period (well except for those na ganun talaga manamit. no offense.) ... tapos matatauhan din sila pagdating second sem or second year, pambahay na lang din...
sometimes its fun pumorma pero kung lagi kang naglalakad, yung tipong SEC to Bel and back, tapos under the heat of the sun pa, parang mapapadalawang isip ka na pumorma pa...

It sure does happen.Lalo na here in CSB. They feel kasi na it's a new beginning for them to make a different impression if ever they had a bad one in high school, but once they become sophomores mawawala din yun coz ma tatamad na sila.

actually, i notice a lot of upperclass men dress-up in school nowadays. but of course, the freshmen still dress-up as if there's was a party.

yup, it still happens. sabotahe was right when he described the freshies dressing up as if going to a party, ganon nga yung scene sa ateneo.

Iba nga dyan naka shorts and sandals lang eh. Pag mga 1st week of class lalo na pag 1st day marami ding naka porma syempre 1st impression din yun lalo na pag irreg ka.
