Most of the materials I need for school can be borrowed from my teachers and can be searched over the net so I don't go to the library, only if I have to research really bad. :D

When it's not summertime...I guess almost every other week day. I'm more productive if I review my lessons there. I'm such a library freak. I even go on Saturdays if it's finals week. I sometimes go to the library of the other colleges in our University especially if I'm looking for books I want to read "for fun".

It's on eof my sanctuaries. Most students only go the library because their teachers ask them to go to reasearch something. What travesty! If only have to explore, there in the shelves are magic universes. One can connect heart to heart, from one time to another time, one place to another, etc.

MisaHayase, actually when I was younger, I frequent the library not because I had to do research, but because I really enjoyed reading. But when I got into college, I couldn't make time anymore to visit the library for pleasure. My work load was too much. I do miss those days when I could just pick any book and read to my heart's content. :)

Hmmm... as of late, I've been visint the library more and more, especially since finals are coming up. For the past couple weeks, I've probably spent at least 15 hours in the lib, either reseaching, studying or trying to do a paper. Call me crazy. But this is what I get from procrastinating all semester. :p

My apartment is rather noisy at nights, always having people over. So it gets a little too loud sometimes to concentrate, plus all the distractions that are in the apartment. ( I could sleep, eat, watch TV, or talk to my roomies instead of getting what I need to get done, done.)

Well,we have the biggest and the most presentable library in the country- which is called The U.S.T. CENTRAL LIBRARY- needles to say that it is the oldest Library in the country and perhaps in the Asian region- kaya ang sarap mag-research or kahit anong gawin- di mo na kailangang pumunta ng National Library or kahit saang library sa 'Pinas.Duon din nakalagay ang internet center at Ang BROADCAST CENTER ng TOMCAT (THOMASIAN CABLE TELEVISION) - the first university/school T.V. station in Southeast Asia. Numerous adutoria are located in that library plus the different library sections na kumpleto sa gamit and sobrang lamig dahil sa over-setting ng temperature ng mga air-conditioner- kaya ang sarap pumunta- kahit tumambay lang.

I would love to do this often but with the kind of library I have more access to right now (UP CMC), that's impossible. Library closes at 11:45 am and then 4:45 pm...the good books are out...travel 5 mins. to the Main lib to get some more. Such a waste of time.
'Miss the heavenly UST Main lib (Humanities floor)...tall, huge stacks of books shelved in place...the late hours...the solitude..it's just me and the books..all in one place.
Reading is fun it's like you're making contacts with the minds of others -- dead or alive...so empowering.
Weird, but I do less lib visit during finals. I have my fave books borrowed and read so others won't find them when they cram (he he he)
I love to collect art books but they're out of our bookstores (bo hoo) Amazon.com is great but expensive. To "own" books in this Third World country is to violate copyright laws and photocopy (text) books cover to cover...so desperate.
I hate going to the library when you've a few minutes left only to find out the book you're looking for is out or lost. It's like, "****! I only have this much time to visit the library and now you're telling me it's about to close?"

Majority of the students in the Philippines go to the library because THEY HAVE HOMEWORK TO DO and THEY ARE STUPID. Your school library is something to explore. Going there just to get your chemistry homework done (usually forced) is an execrable stupidity.

Oh, I miss the grandiosity of the UST Central Library.

sometimes, i go there to study for an upcoming quiz or long test

high school me ***** mga 4x a year ako nakapunta ng lib (required) lang kasi eh.... taray naman kasi nung librarian....

when i went to college, madalang pa rin....
pero nung law school na...*****! whether i like it or not, i have to be there and study, and read cases, and research, and whew!!!! kalowka!!! :)
