What do you think guys? Will this improve the quality of education in AMA? Will they no longer be the butt of all text jokes?

Thinking of enrolling there?
I'd find out first what exactly "affiliated" means before making any conclusions.
Microsoft loves to use "affiliates" and "partners" when referring to other entities. Sometimes, all it means is you bought a lot of software from them.

...Or that they chose to offer certified curricula based on Microsoft technology.
Microsoft has special curricula for training people to become MCSE's (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers); MCSD's (Microsoft Certified Solution Developers); and MCDBA's(Microsoft Certified Data Base Administrators). Offering official courses leading to such certification (and the exams are hard...) gives certain institutions a certain branding.

Actually, it doesn't mean na MICROSOFT Company ang kalalabasan ng AMA.
Because AMA is not MICROSOFT.
If ever then, yari na ang AMA dahil guguho na ang Microsoft dahil sa anti-trust trial sa US. Meaning, the collapse of MICROSOFT.
Affiliates and Partners would only mean that Microsoft gives funds and support. Eh ang DLSU may support ng Intel. But it doesn't mean DLSU is Intel or Intel owns DLSU.
Affiliates and stuff like that only mean that Microsoft is engaging their objective to bring their products and services to everyone. For everyone to understand and make use of that knowledge.
Kaya tigilan niyo na yan. Mga ilusyonado kayo. Kung gusto niyong magpasikat sa school niyo, pagbutihin niyo ang economy ng pilipinas. At doon niyo malalaman ang kaibahan.

Affiliated? Hmm... I know it only means that they are accredited as a Microsoft Learning Center and nothing else. Does not mean that they get the latest and greatest from Microsoft nor does it mean that their products will be tested and marketed by Microsoft.
There are other accredited Microsoft Learning Centers scattered here.

they have always been affiliated with microsoft..
but then again, i think that it shouldn't be boasted out since its no big deal.
there is a saying na yung punong hitik sa bunga ang laging binabato., well since most people who condemn ama don't even know what a mouse is for., I can't blame them.

Pardon me, computergeek, but I am not condemning AMA. I am just pointing out the truth... and I do hope that you don't consider me among those who don't know what a mouse is for - I know they're used for laboratory tests for drugs.
