hoy daga!
hinahanap ka ng mga CHED officials dahil matagal mo ng ginagamit sila sa mga kolokohan mo.
Papano daw naging number 1 ang ateneo e walang ngang sampo ang center of excellence sa skul-bukol na yan.

Ateneo is without question a good school.
But UP, La Salle and UST offer more courses and most importantly, courses that have been tested through yearly board examinations.
To rank Ateneo as No. 1 may be too ambitious I think.
A school is classified as high performing (or with high passing rate) if its OPR is one standard deviation higher than the mean OPR. It is low performing (or with low passing rate) if its OPR is one standard deviation lower than the mean OPR; and zero performing if none of its examinees passed any board examination in the five-year period covered by the study. In this regard, the Professional Regulation Commission lists four leading schools, namely:
1. University of the Philippines - Diliman (with a high passing rate (HPR) in 16 board examinations)
2. University of Santo Tomas (with HPR in 12 board examinations)
3. St. Louis University - Baguio City (11 HPR)
4. Xavier University - Cagayan de Oro City
(11 HPR)
Other schools with high passing rates in six to nine licensure examinations:
Central Philippines University (Iloilo City), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Silliman University (Dumaguete City), University of the Philippines (Los Baños), Mapua Institute of Technology (Manila), Ateneo de Davao University, De La Salle University (Manila), Mindanao State University (Marawi City), and University of the Philippines (Manila).

jj9527 is an honest and credible pexer.
But I was shocked by his post which showed both St. Louis and Xavier performing better than UPLB and UP-Manila. What could have been the explanation behind this saddening reality? I'm not saying both St. Louis and Xavier are substandard schools but we all know the students in UP-Manila and UPLB are smarter than the former two. I don't even need to factor in the high teaching standard and high quality faculty of both UP campuses which should help them excel in all fields they offer. And I’m sure both UPLB and UIP-Manila have better facilities.

the list above is NOT a ranking based on academic standards, and does not include State Uuniversities.

mods, please close this thread. It reports unverified data from an unknown source, and elicits confusion for those which their only source of information about universities in the Philippines is PEX.
Unless this stupid UP and La Salle basher would clearly emphasize that the ranking is just based on his fantasy, do not give him the chance to dupe on people.

I'm glad you acknowledged that UP is number one in the Philippines but it would have been more a dramatic surrender if it was your alternick Greenturd who made that confession.

My apologies for not responding promptly. Im working on my thesis and since I am graduating, internet time has become a luxury.
UPLB and UP Manila are top-caliber universities. I didnt have time to qualify my statements earlier.
I got the ranking somewhere and it ranked universities according to the no. of courses that require board exams after graduation.
Put together, UP System is on top. Personally, UP shouldnt be split into constituent universities in these rankings--UP Tacloban for instance, performs well in the CPA boards, UP Manila in PT, Nursing, Medicine, etc. Most of their courses are research and extension based courses---these courses do not require board exams after graduation but the graduates are expected to perform in terms of output.
Xavier and St. Louis ranked higher because they only have one campus. So they got more courses with board exams qualifications. UP Manila doesnt have Engineering. Its "board exam" courses are in the allied medical professions. UPLB offfers "board exam" courses in veterinary medicine, agriculture/science and technology based courses.
All in all, UP System fared on top.
