View Full Version : Is Belo/BMG Any Good?
chigusa

I switched to Belo in Tomas Morato branch for my skin maintenance, but I was hesitant for the center/clinic was too commercialized, the ambiance was overwhelming, & I still want to rely on a clinical dermatologist based on a hospital. Is anyone here a longtime client, is it satisfying? Or should I still depend on a clinical dermatologist?

ei! I recently switched to BMG (main branch), been using the acne control kit for about 3 weeks now (i guess ) and i would say its ok naman. although ur skin would take some time to get used to the meds. i was previously seeing a derma from Makati as well (Dr. Sylvia Jacinto) and so far I feel that the effects are almost the same. the thing with BMG is that they have more procedures that they offer and its true that they are more commercialized compared to my previous derma which is more on the conventional side. i have yet to try out BMG's power peel and spanish peel because these were the procedures recommended to me by the physician whom I consulted with. kinda pricey nga lang so im kinda hesitant but i think the results would compensate for the high cost.

i asked about it and if im not mistaken its around 25k... pero its only advisable to those whose acne scars are very deep. besides, the treatment would literally make ur face blue in a week or so... well, that's what ive been told.... so ud be stuck at home for quite some time...

im a regular customer of BELO tektite branch. the staff are very friendly and nice. nona is the one who gives me facial, she's ok naman. ;)
i've tried their laser services, ok naman. they removed some fat deposits on my nose. i'm satisfied with the service. it's a bit pricey though.
the acne control kit works well for me. specially the pore minimizer. the chances of having pimples is very slight whenever i apply the pore minimizer of belo. :)

Is it true that glycolic peeling can darken your skin if done repetitively?

If you're skin is discolored or uneven, I strongly suggest glycopeel cleaning, as it will 'scrape' off your dead skin & reveal a smooth, lighter & more youthful skin underneath. I'm not so sure with the acne control kit, I don't get pimples though.

pag nag pa glycopeel ka or micropeel.. do u have to buy the acne control kit after that? or parang optional nalang?
and for first-timers... can we just crash into any of their offices to avail their services? or dapat may appointment thingy pa? thanks
pompom
Mar 14, 2005, 07:38 PM

What im trying to say is how do they perform the facial cleaning? face massage, steam, mud pack, laser, pricking & removal of blackheads, whiteheads, & pimples??? just like that?

Ako naman baliktad from Belo (4yrs) to Calayan (6 mos) to Dr. Jacinto. She's an officer of the Phil. Dermatological Society.

y did u say that Dr. jacinto's services is comparable to that of Belo's? (price-wise) what procedures have u availed from her clinic if i may ask? i wanted to try her microdermabrasion but the thing its very expensive in her clinic... i have mine done in one of the good spa centers in Makati.... its ok and a bargain at only Php 1,250.00 / session.

i believe that BMG is worth it..my mom used to have really bad skin--zit and pit infested..after undergoing obagi treatment her skin really cleared up, i swear.
she had her nose done as well, belo did a good job *okay*

I suppose the Obagi cleared up her face not of Belo's treatments & medicines.

You can get the same quality service at less cost if you go to a qualified dermatologist who don't advertise. But the more important point is marami pang magagaling na derma diyan who give the better quality service at more reasonable prices like Dr. Evangeline Handog 6874076, Dr. Isabel Mangubat 6388434. :) .

a friend of mine goes to belo at the morato branch. it's ok for her but she is genetically prone to imples kaya she has break outs every so often.. she tried obagi for some time and it worked wonders. but as she said, once you stop, it will come back.
i think it really depends on the person if "hiyang" siya with the derma. my friend went to around 3 dermas before belo and it's with belo that her acne improved. i have some friends naman who tried belo and didn't like it there and switched to other dermas :)

Bawal ako magmicrodermabrasion because I have rosacea so I wouldn't know.
But I get my regular IPL which is the cure for rosacea from them. The daughter Dr. Jamora does it at the Makati Medical Laser Center. Since only my cheeks are affected, pwede na yong lowest package which costs P12,500 for 5 sessions. Yong highest package is around P24,000 for 5 sessions. Depende sa dami ng shots yon.
Dra. Jacinto only asks me to use sunblock and tretinoin on my face. For my oily skin I drink Roaccutane. My skin is flawless and I get compliments for it. Just yesterday I was approached by a girl who noticed my skin and asked if she can invite me to endorse an organic skin care product. Didn't really listen to the details kasi takot akong gumamit ng kung ano-ano.
They do TCA cross for deep scars - P5,000 per session. Sabi ng nakatry very effective daw ito. They also have a new machine at the clinic. It's called Aesthra PPx. It's like IPL but painless. I have to try that though. I still have unused sessions from my package.

^ I thought they would be able to solve my skin problem. Actually okay lang naman kaso it's overpriced plus minsan I don't like my facialist kasi she kept on suggesting I'd do this procedure eh hindi naman sinabi ng doctor. In fairness to their in-house doctors, they understand naman kung nagtitipid ka kaya they recommend procedures na kailangan lang talaga. Pero yung facialist, she'd pressure me to get this and that. Sobrang laki ng nagastos ko (as in malaki talaga). It took me almost a year to realize my BIG mistake. :grrr:
Isang facialist lang ang tinutukoy ko. I haven't experienced the others. I'm speaking from experience and I don't want to generalize na ganun talaga lahat ng facialists nila.
Btw, I like their receptionists (lalo na yung isa mafefeel mo talaga yung concern). Super bait and friendly nila. Panira lang talaga yung facialist ko.
