The Adamson Lady Falcons' win over Taeneo Lady Blue Eggless today was a massacre. It was a no-match from the starting toss.
The contest wasn’t even close. It was a tutorial, a walk in the prairie, like taking milk from a toddler. This is not beneficial for the league. The ad placers might pull out if contests are played like this. I hope they still return for next UAAP tourney. The pretty, talented, good, decent, refined and intelligent girls of Adamson sure took their pangit, mukang tsimay, bano, salbahe, basagulero, and bobo counterparts to paaralan.
Kudos to Adamson, especially to Valencia "Lisa Leslie" Arayi for today’s one-sided, overwhelming, dominating, exhibition-type victory over the clueless Lady Blue Eggless of Taeneo De Manila, the home of Adamson rejects and the ultimate losers of UAAP season 67 Womens basketball.
Better luck next time! :~(

^^ what dimension did this guy come from? Or maybe he was watching a totally warped game from a few years back maybe? Oh well... I'll take the luxury of editing it :D >>>>>
The Adamson Lady Falcons' win over Ateneo Lady Blue Eagles today was a nailbiting game to be considered a classic in any league! It was a neck-to-neck battle from the starting toss.
The contest was close most of the way with both teams relying on small runs to get the edge over the other team. It was a picture of basketball at its finest. This is the kind of game which upholds the UAAP's reputation as the premiere collegiate league in the land. The baby-faced girls of Ateneo fought their hearts out against the much bigger and much more experienced counterparts.
Kudos to Adamson, especially to Valencia "Kevin Garnett" Arayi for today’s heart-stopping, nail-biting, exciting, classic victory over the courageous Lady Blue Eagles of Ateneo De Manila, the runners-up and - as it seems - a future domiant team in the women's division.
ONE BIG FIGHT!
:smokin:
Sorry... I just cant help the cheap shot on Valenciana Arayi, coz she just looks so much like a guy :p

Your post did not make sense. The UAAP only allows a school to field one team for each sport. We are not talking about the FMC mens basketball tournament are we?
Yes!

Sayang, but that's life:
1 - UAAP Champs: Ateneo Blue Eaglets
2 - 1st Runner-Up: Ateneo Lady Eagles
3 - 2nd Runner-Up: Ateneo Blue Eagles
4 - 4th Place: Ateneo Cheerdancers

Yung OTHER LADY EAGLES TEAM ay sila Larry, LA, Joy, Bugs, etc. You call them your "MEN'S TEAM."

A decent season by any standards. :p
Yes!: The mere fact that you have to explain the joke to those that didn't get it is reason enough to say it was a terribly phrased joke. Kaya ko sinabing "Hihirit nalang kasi, yung t-a-t-a-n-g-a_tangang hirit pa kasi eh "

Hats off to the Lady Falcons. Truth of the matter is, before the season started, the Lady Eagles were the ones deemed to be the next champions. They had a very deep bench and consistent leaders. I wonder up until now why they didn't make much use of the twin tower tandem that they were so proud of. Some of the players who were supposed to carry the team seemed to have gotten stuck in a slump. I am referring to Cassy Tioseco who despite her height did not dominate any of the three games.
The lady falcons, although much more agile and conditioned did not sport as much talent as the Lady Eagles. They did it with hard work. Who would have thought that Yanez who was at an all time low, this season would step up on her last game? Who would have thought that despite having arayi in foul trouble, someone would still step up?
The Fact of the matter is, the odds were agains the lady falcons. Hats off to them for tipping that to their favor.

I disagree with you. Adamson was the odds on favorite to win the crown this year followed closely by Ateneo. Why, the lady falcons owned Ateneo even before the UAAP tournament. Both teams played 2 major tournaments prior to the UAAP and both were won by Adamson. The games were close and one of them went into overtime just like the UAAP.
I was also surprise why the coaching staff did not play the twin towers a lot. I guess the performance of Tin Chua at power forward was one reason. The other is that one of the rookie six footer for Ateneo was coming back from a knee injury.
The biggest deficiency of Ateneo was in the point guard spot. DCay and Grajales are shooting guards being asked to play point. Sayang, one of the blue chip recruits decided to stay home in Cebu.
Kudos to the lady falcons. Ateneo had the opportunity to win the championship but the shots did not fall in the last 2 games. Next year, expect a very loaded and experienced Ateneo lady eagles team.

There is no way Cassy Tioseco is only 5' 11". Truth of the matter, none of the tall ladies of Ateneo wants to be known as a six footer like most men. It makes them look like freaks kaya they settle on 5' 11". Cassy is closer to 6' 2" than 5' 11". It's in her genes kasi her dad played 4-5 for Ateneo's last back to back championship in the NCAA.
