NCAA: we proved that we're not weaker than the UAAP

Thanks to the great game of leo najorda, we were able to defeat the UAAP2 all star team. Many pexers in the uaap forums taught that the 2nd game would be a walk in the park an for the UAAP all stars. But we proved them wrong. Our players showed that they have heart. They showed that talent is not the most important thing in basketball. Even the first game was a close one. The NCAA1 All Stars were down by as much as 13 points(correct me if im wrong). But they were able to catch up because of hard work and perseverance. To the NCAA1 All Stars: I congratulate you even though you guys lost, what's important is you showed that you can match up with the UAAP players. To the NCAA2 All Stars: Congratulations for winning the game, you showed that NCAA players have what it takes to beat their counterparts in the UAAP. Leo Najorda, you deserve to be the MVP.

Wynsjohn Te was the 3 point king last year but he lost to ADMU's Chris Tiu this year...lumamig siguro yung shooting ni Te kasi matagal yung gap ng eliminations tsaka finals...

Yup sa NBC NBL and URBL marami din dung mga UAAP players who were thought of making it big in the PBA but their NCAA counterparts made them bite their dust.

Congarts NCAA 2 for winning over the UAAP 2 and prove that we can level up with them, as for the NCAA 1 you gave one hell of fight and showed to UAAP 1 that you can run & shoot with them, but breaks are going most of the way to the other team.

As for our players who participated in the side events, you didn't know how proud we are when your competing. It's a sad note that JRU's Whynsjohn Te didn't retained his 3-points crown in his last All Star appearance, but the audience both in Araneta and people who are glued to Studio 23 applauding what he did in the elimination round where he banged 25 points. For the 2-3 ball, again the duo of JRU's Te and Mark Lester Lindaya, failed to bring the glory, sayang yung 2 points na deduction otherwise the NCAA still had the 2-3 ball crown.

For Hudencial of SBC & Vicente of SSC, you showed that spectacular dunks can be done with finesse, even for not so tall players.

Again, my congrats to all the NCAA players and to the players that will be leaving, wishing you all the best of luck on whatever career you'll be heading and thanks for the memories, shining moves you gave to your alma mater and to the fans as well.

Ecko is right! The UAAP2 all star players were too confident enough to win the game however the NCAA2 all star players proved them wrong. They really played a great game! :) CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NCAA ALL STAR PLAYERS! YOU DESERVE YOUR TITLES! :)

well the UAAP team didn't took the game seriously beforehand...no plays were practiced or whatever...the NCAA team wanted to win the game...the uaap team just gave a 50% of their effort tapos wala pang 5 pts ang win ng ncaa...plus some of the UAAP players declined to participate in the game

btw, it takes a "fool" to formulate something out of an "exibition game"...

i wasn't kinda disappointed that some of the Bedan players didn't participate in the game

sino nanuod sa inyo ng game ng live? pagbabasehan mo pa lang sa face ng mga players at yung coaching staff di na sila seryoso. san ka ba nakakita ng time out na nagkukulitan pa eh talo na nga. then yung last free throw ni yeo, tumingin pa muna sya kay coach franz, parang tinatanung kung ishooshoot ba nya yung last, kasi kung tutuusin, pede pa tumabla. pero sumenyas si coach franz na ishoot na lang nya. :D

di ako nambabash pero wag sana pagbasehan ang isang exhibition game lang ang mga kakayahan ng bawat isa.

a loss is still a loss.. no ifs, no buts... alam kasi nila kaya nila nilalaro eh mananalo sila pero inde. what's the use of going after Ncaa's lead? kalokohan? player din po ako ng bball. i wouldn't let myself go into a situation na la akong gustong maging goal. alam ko kasi nag pressure na ang uaap team nung dumikit sila on the last seconds. anu tawag mo dun? patawa? haayy nako..

To all those who are saying that the players didn't give their all, better tell that to His Airness. Michael Jordan said that even in the All-Star game he gives it his all. Like what he said in his autobiography entitled "Rare Air", "If you don't compete, then I'll dominate you" (or something like that but the "I'll dominate you" is part of it). As part of the All-Star team, you must prove your worth by being selected to play for the team, not to show off or what. And the NCAA 2 team proved just that.
