Reunion of Former Athletes of Letran!

marami un ciempre... pupunta daw *** quinito henson and 1st gentleman mike arroyo *** tanggapin *** mga plaque *** sa mga mgulang nla na nag-aral sa letran.

all the former athletes of the colegio will come. sana lang wag masyadong ma-highlight sa basketball.

First, list down the names of Letranites who exelled in sports other than basketball. In doing so, you would create awareness as to who these gentlemen are.

I can contribute 3-

1. Susano Erang- played shot put. Was a former national player and have won medals at SEAG competition.

2. The Abratique brothers- Tae Kwon Do. (Btw, did both studied at Letran? Or, was it only Ramil?) World Champion yun si Ramil.

Kahit hindi naging national player, but if these athletes were part of NCAA champion teams in such events like volleyball or football post them here.

there are a lot of athletes na nag-excel sa iba't ibang fields although not known to many. I'll name two muna.

• Anta and Don Baes - pride of Letran's Women's and Men's Table Tennis teams respectively (we have been champions for years). Both were RP team players (im not sure if Anta is still with it but Im sure Kuya Don isn't anymore) Anta also represented the country in Busan during the Asian Games.

si cap... :) he played point and used to be the knights' team captain. member of the champion team (along with billy moody, jason misolas). he's really mabait and gwapo too. na-injury lang kaya bumaba ang laro. the last season he played was during 2001.

yup francis16 is correct, sya yung tumira ng crucial 3pt. noong 1998 championship againts the stags...he was also the team captain of LETRAN after erwin velez...he used to be a model for ino sotto during hes playing years...hes now happily married to anna...i also talked with gutchi gutierrez (he was also a player during the 1998-2000 season) and hes a little bit sad di sya makakapunta coz his in dubai with john prior and erwin velez...

and oo nga pala oscar3 about the abratique brothers they both studied in letran.
ramil studied from high school to college, while jonathan abratique graduate high school in letran. the brothers coach the letran taekwondo team since 1996 to 2001.

also Roberto "kitoy" Cruz, taekwondo olympian is a proud alumni of the colegio.

punta talaga ako sa school kasi may exam sa NSTP.. siguro kaya ngayong sat yung exam (not last week) kasi siguro sinabay na sa Reunion nga nung mga athletes...

It was on the newspapers yesterday. If you guys (Letranites) want to check it out, go to the alumni bulletin board. You'll see there the the news articles about the event. If I'm not mistaken, Puyat was there, Willie Miller, Rudy Hines, Kerby Raymundo, Samboy Lim, and many more. Mr. Ed Picson graced the occasion as the master of ceremonies.
You'll be surprised to hear about the former athletes of Letran.
