Calling all college journalism students, campus paper advisers, journalism instructors and those who want to put up their own student publication.
The Varsitarian, the 76-year old official student publication of the University of Santo Tomas, will be holding Inkblots 2004: The 6th UST National Campus Journalism Fellowship on October 18 to 20 at the Thomas Aquinas Research Complex and the Beato Angelico Building, both at the UST campus in Espaņa, Manila.
Inkblots 2004 is a three-day series of lectures in news writing, features writing, sports writing, photojournalism, campus paper management, and many others.
Speakers and panelists include Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism director Sheila Coronel, Probe Productions president Che Che Lazaro, Philippine Star sports columnist Quinito Henson, Agence France-Presse photojournalist Romeo Gacad, and National Youth Commission Chair and TV host Bam Aquino.
Interested participants may contact the Varsitarian office at 7313101 / 4061611 local 8235 and look for Ryan or Cristina.
Pre-registration is required and will be on a first come first served basis. Deadline for registration and payment is on October 10, 2004.
