The feat of JV Casio, another Bedan hotshot baller in the recent UAAP championships should once again serve as a wake-up call to the school administration and alumni to bond together and keep its best players in the junior ranks.
The list of Bedan standouts transferring and giving glory and championships to other schools is long...
Paras, Magsanoc,Altamirano- '86 UP champiom team
Dindo Pumaren- leading the La Salle team in the late 80's
Tyrone Bautista-also leading the La Salle team in the early 90's
Ronald Magtulis- FEU champion team in the mid-90's
Ren-ren Ritualo-steering La Salle to a 4-peat(1998-2001)
LA Tenorio,Magnum Membrere- 2002 champion Ateneo team
And now... JV Casio for the 2004 La salle team.
Imagine if all of these Bedan ballers moved on and played for the senior team of San Beda which has failed to win the NCAA title since 1978(Chito Loyzaga/Frankie Lim/JB Yango led the '78 SBC team).
It's just unfortunate that La Salle's gain is another sorry loss for San Beda.
