Ey fellow benildeans.... what can you say about the Cheering Squad of CSB? Before its one of the best but now... the LAST....

They cant even motivate the students to support the NCAA team... Ano sa tingin nyong dapat nilang gawin?

It's really their choice. If willing sila na magkaroon ng pagbabago, they should start within the group. There's really nothing WE can do about it, kasi hindi na tayo active, UNLESS, they ask for our help or opinion. I, personally, would like to talk with them, especially with Audrey and the captains. Sana nga lahat ng pep uli nasa PEx para masaya, katulad dati.

Kilala mo naman ako, pranka ako pero open pa rin ako sa sasabihin nila. Again, I am more than willing to help. Sabihin lang nila when and where.

I helped build the squad and I don't want to see it flounder and crush from the pressure.

^^^Kahit nung first year ako, I trained with the DLSU pep, siguro 2 kami nun. Nung nagkaroon na ng Pep ang CSB, nag-CSB pep nako. Mas convenient kahit hindi prestigious dati kumbaga. Iniisip ko kasi nun sayang yung benefits na makukuha ko. But if she is happy with the DLSU squad, okay na rin yun. At least masaya siya sa ginagawa niya.

madami daw finile na complaints ang ncaa sa pep ngayon. pinagpatong patong.. all because of the la salle finals performance... medyo maganda ata kase pati mga green peppers kasama sa dun sa pagperform. mukhang nagselos mga taga ncaa at nag file nang complaints ang mga mokong. eto na naman si rene imbis na ipagtangol eh walang magawa kase takot din sa NCAA. :D

i have a friend who was a former green pepper, and another one was a cheerleader for CSB. they have both gone on to do corporate work, i think.
the last performance that was great was the DLSU-AdMU halftime where CSB was part of the performance...and the last bantay bata game featuring DLSu and CSB...

True, true. The purpose of that was to maximize the time given to us to perform, and to showcase the La Sallian/Benildean value of brotherhood and unity.

Labuyo - Hindi naman lahat mayayabang, yun nga lang, nasira ang buong squad dahil sa iilang mga miyembro na walang ginawa para sa ikabubuti ng squad. Ang masama dun eh wala rin ginawa ang iba. And apathy is something I abhor since we are talking about an organization that involves the upliftment of school pride. :D

I apologize if you read bitter, sarcastic words here. I know its better to motivate and uplift their morales but the problem is nauuna ang kayabangan na wala naman talagang dapat ipagmayabang.

Try to watch ESPN cheerleading competitions... baka magkaroon kayo ng idea kahit papaano. You are representing the college and its no joke. Hindi na nga maganda ang lineup ng basketball team pati ba naman cheerleading wala pa rin masabi?

I think it would be better kung kayo ang magmotivate sa students of Benilde to support the basketball team. Naaalala ko nung college pa ko. We watch NCAA not because of the basketball but because of the cheering kasi alam namin na pag cheering mas pinapanood because they are really good.

What happened now? Sorry!

Walang problema DarkMatrix, the alumni peppers here value both positive and negative criticisms. Because feedback is important for an organization to grow. ;)

The latest news I heard from a student and former captain of the girls is that the squad is under OSA and footworks people are helping out create a new line-up for next season. Hope this answers your questions. Don't worry about them, I'm sure they will stamp their class in the future. :D

Is there any current member of the pep squad? I just want to ask, are we going to see better or should i just say the best performance for this season? This June pala ang opening ng NCAA. I just hope sa opening palang maganda na ang performance ng Benilde sa basketball and sa cheerleading.

I've been an avid watcher of NCAA since i studied in Benilde. Halos lahat ng openings napanood ko ata even nagwowork na ko. Right now this might be the last time that i am going to watch NCAA because i will be leaving the country for further studies. I just hope Benilde will be like when i was in second year. Champion sa Basketball and the best ang pep squad.

Anyways goodluck! show the people what you've got. Bring the crown to Benilde again!

You know they can always ask for alumni support if they CAN'T handle the squad. I'm sure the oldies wouldn't mind helping out.

Prob relies on the politics. Alam nyo mga kids, during our time mas malupit pa *** politika but if you have the right mind and your morals are strong enuff and you think na kaya ka inelect is for you to serve and not destroy the squad..then you know what to do! Gising gising! Cut the crap and bring back the glory! Tama na kaartehan!

LaChicca - kahit na frustration natin yan, may iba pa namang paraan para pakita natin na we mean business sa pag-train.

Dapat may teambuilding after try-outs at dapat mag-instill kayo ng mabuting values sa mga bagong miyembro. Kung kailangan back to basics eh gawin na habang maaga pa para ma-realize ng iba sa mga pumasok lang sa squad para pumorma. ;)

Here are the following things you guys should do before the end of this schoolyear and it doesn't have to be done within the ncaa season:

1. Train harder and learn your routines and yells.
2. Cheer in the bleachers, and not just together but put yourselves in certain spots where csb fans are watching.
3. Create a constitution to help build the organization foundations stronger and develop leadership in your ranks.
4. Less glamour, more power to the chants.
5. Be creative in yells and drumbeats, others are sure to follow. Ocho B is being played by different schools already, and so is the offspring. If you need more yells, I'll be happy to create one or two.

and last but not the least....

6. Enough politics and arguments. More passion and action for the squad. ;)

I've always thought that what kept us, the alumnis here, in the squad was the passion we had for our craft. But with the way things are going, it's going to take more than passion for the current Pep Squad.

FYI: I, along with some alumnis, attended the meeting with the new moderator and trainor of the pep and, aside from the usual questions and apprehensions regarding changes in the squad, I can safely say that the squad has direction now, thank God.

Yes, the changes have been drastic, but they asked for it. It is obvious that some of the members are not comfortable with the new 'gameplan' but I do hope that they at least try to cooperate for once. *sigh*

Oh well, I'm just blabbing. I just miss being the person who holds the rein and whip in the squad. Haaaay.
