View Full Version : (current) TOP 5 HIGHEST PAYING CALL CENTERS

im thinking of dissing my current "huge, cc pioneer" company for a bigger paying, perks-loaded call center. i've submitted myself to a year-long abuse now, it's time to go for greener pastures.. knowing that the abuse is pretty much going to be the same anyway..
so far the highest paying cc ive heard is:
1. HSBC:
rep- 16k upon regularization, with car loan
dare to enummerate?
it's all about the money.. s'all bout the dum dum da da dum dum

the going rate actually is 16k-18k if regularized, excluding the local laws of benefits. some centers go for the minimum rate pay w/c is 16k, but are best in benefits such as BPOs, life insurance, premium health care including dental. & some company perks (depends on the company), additional allowances for single parent, company bonuses. there are a few of them only. but sorry, in my position i cant name all of them here

actually, mali *** *** hsbc, citibank pala yung 16k with car loan upon regularization.. un nga lang ang trabaho e mangulit sa mga tao na magbayad ng credit card.. hmmm..
im also thinking of relocating to baguio, good and fresh environment, plus usually may relocation fee daw of 50k...? any ideas if this is true?

yes it's 16k for crescent services (citibank for citibank australia not the call center for the local clients)with 16k basic. but that's it. didn't see the car loan upon regularization benefit on the job offer. just the 100k bond within 1 year. but they do have medical benefit, i think upon hiring since they asked me to fill up the form
heard that its ICT (well acccdg to one of their HR people). sila daw highest ngayon. 18k daw plus higher nite diff, etc.

i think salary is account based...
here at sykes.. L1 agents can get as low as 12k and as high as 20k...
yep.. even I was surprised to learn that a friend was earning that much.. and she's only on training palang.. barely a month old sa company...

Sep 5, 2004, 11:51 AM
in the case of citibank, mahirap ang maregular dun unless you are a good collector.i am having second thoughts on them because i dont want to waste another 6months of my life when the chances of regularization are very slim. overpopulated na kse ang collectors dun and there are instances na nagaagawan na sila ng clients na makukulit just to maintain their daily quota, take note, daily.. mahirap ata mangulit ng 78 clients na mag promise to pay sa loob ng 1 day.
nwei, i heard that the position of IP relay operator in eperformax has one of the largest compensation packages in the industry.. tips naman jan.i am planning to apply next month,if it is not too late.:yum: :yum:

citibank mahirap talaga maging regular dun unless you're good in sharking your officemates for their quota. but a promising career if you get to stay longer
IP relay operator, madugong responsibilities that's why almost 20k ang salary, dapat dun mabilis kumilos
etel the best in salary?! hehehe as i've said before in the previous threads, pure image & no vision. they're always dreaming in my opinion
CL in baguio is till managed by CL manila, but it will be SOON to be an independent management, .....i hope. so the bureaucracy on the floor will not be influenced over to baguio
basta the normal going rate for call centers are 15k-18k max, more than that requires special skills for the few. like some centers are needing agents who knows how to speak spanish of niponggo, their salary are almost as high as the TLs

kung base pay lang ang usapan...eto siguro yung top 5 ngayon
1. West (17k for tenured reps)
2. NCO Group/RMH - (15K - 18K depending on work experience, technical proficiency, can go as high as 25K after 3-6 months?)
3. Sitel (the figures I know are for non-agent posts, i've a former colleague who was offered 35K for TM position with night differential and an assured increase after 3 months)
4. HSBC (though hindi outsourcing - depends on work experience, i've got a friend whose base pay is 19.5K - agent level, and another former colleague, a TM, whose base pay is more than 40K)
5. ICT - (18K daw? anyone from ICT care to verify)
I heard though that convergys wants to be more competitive thus will be increasing their lowest base pay limit early next year.
Of course, if I were to be asked, base pay is not enough to measure how great a call center is. Before taking on a job offer, one has to find out other benefits - HMO coverage, hazard/transportation allowance, night differential rate (10% is the government mandated ratio, but I believe etel pays the highest at 30%), VL/SL credits upon regularization, increase after confirmation and performance incentive increase every year after.
IMHO, the foremost gauge would have to be stability. Laki nga base pay mo, pero hindi mo pala alam after six months, pull out na account, furloughed na pala kayong lahat.
just my 2 cents.

ICT offers 18k a month to seasoned reps who have at least a year's experience in doing either inbound or outbound for a recognized call center. I've been to ICT before and that's how it was a year ago. The benefits are great also, there's no training allowance. You get paid Regular pay the moment you start training (unlike other call centers).

Yung Ambergris Solutions nagkle-claim na highest paid tech support. Sa ngayon, tech or non-tech account, pare-pareho ang base pay, and it's 12,500 bucks. Pero mukhang tataasan nila salary ng tech support agents. Check nyo to:
http://www.boomspeed.com/lexan/recruitment3.JPG
So I guess kung highest tech support pay yan, around 18,000 or higher ang supposed salary ng incoming tech agents. Dali apply na and check out if this is true.

Dec 18, 2004, 09:14 AM
Ambergris does NOT give the highest pay for tech support agents.
That is a FACT.
Their AD is a LIE.
I have been with Ambergris since May of Last year Headstarting their Microsoft Pc safety tech support acct.
It's not great at all.
That's why i left.
I was the first coach for that acct.
Even the damn TC's and OM's had look up/ ask me for advice regarding questions callers would normally throw at our agents.
Well, if you were an agent and you didn't have any absences within a pay period and you fall within the whole span of the night differential, you should get around 7k net per payday.
By the way, The Ops Mgr. of that acount is an egocentric ******* and one of the TC's haven't a clue of being a TC and what a TC does.
So far, Teletech and west tech support agents are the highest paid right now.
Pls correct me if i'm wrong.

In terms of comission, ICT na :D pero one account lang yun.
Top Sellers in that account get more than 100k in comissions alone. Basic salary nila parang tax nalang
Pero goodluck nalang kung gusto niyo pumasok dun :) there's hardly ever any openings for that account. (Nobody wants to leave because of the comission)

Besides that, once you're regular already, they also get a bonus every 3mos, & the computation of your bonus will depend on how good your stats are, you can get from 10%-25% of your basic salary. Plus they have a budget for each person for a team building session so the teams can go out once a month for some unwinding. They also have a very comprehensive medical insurance, they even have the choice of including their immediate family members in their plan. Quite cool huh

WEST CONTACT SERVICES !!! you would think it offers higher becuase it will show you an offer of 14K if your new or less than 6 mos in the call center biz, 15K for 6 mos and up 17K-19K for a year of experience.BUT this will be paid in
13 MONTHS. please read the FINER print of your JOB offer in case you get hired. so basically, it's still the same, no medical benefits before regularization, no FORMAL CONTRACT if you're on probationary status and most of all... you can get promoted even if you have no clue on what you are doing, you just have to have perfect attendance and some friends in HIGH places to recommend you.so, it's for you to decide whether it's really good.
i didn't wait to be regularized there just to have a 1K increase which you would not even feel. and BTW, if you're from PS/ they know you have CS experience, they'd put you on a TS/CS status with NO raise. perfect! :naughty:

One of the highest paying call centers here is SVI Connect. What we lack in facilities, our pay more than makes up for it. The starting pay may not be that high (13000) but when you get regularized, it jumps to 16000. plus we have annual merit increases (+3000). i know several agents who's getting 26000++ in basic salary alone. but like all outbound agents, we don't really rely on our basic pay. we're more concerned about our commissions which could reach 10000++ on the average.
of all the call centers mentioned, the only call center that can ever rival us in terms of pay is ICT. their offer is a bit higher because they are quite new & wants to pirate our agents.

erikmorales
May 13, 2005, 09:02 PM
james richard, the reason why SVI's not that popular is because we don't advertise much. We're not very aggressive in hiring. Also, our recruitment is geared towards those who didn't gradute in exclusive schools. That's why we lose in the PR game. But every agent in the outbound side of call centers know that we are the best there is in outbound sales. Even ICT knows that. That's why their offers for agents from SVI are much higher than the average applicant.
what's the name of your call center?

Mag work muna kayo SVI. nasa min ang pinakamahirap na acc.. kung tatagal ka dito for sure pag pasok niyo sa ibang call center malaki ang offer sa inyo. ICT top sellers in outbound sales are all former svi agents. Svi is a good trainning ground for outbound sales..Pero rewarding naman !!!! ang alam ko sa ngayon svi is 13k sa mga bagong pasok. wid or with out exp.. sa call center .Di nila tinitignan kung galing ka sa call center dahil marami dito na 3 months lang umaalis na sa sobrang hirap ...pero ang comm... So far, I guess eTel gives the most attractive compensation package to date. Basic salary 15k + 3k transpo allowance + 30% night diff & OT. You could get as much as 10-12K per PAYDAY. On top of that, you also get you performance appraisal bonus every quarter which could reach as much as 9K. Promotion is every 3 months, and everytime you get promoted to the next level you get an additional 3K. As for holiday pays, if other companies only give double pays, eTel doubles it and gives an additonal 50% PLUS you even get an extra leave!

Hmmmm... for me, the most rewarding account i have encountered was MCI in Sykes... wowwowwee... for only 11 days ( office days) you will have a net pay of P 20,000 .. biro mo for oly 1 1/2 month meron na akong P 60,000.... tapos mababait pa ang mga TL and TM tapos pag yung team mo Best Team meron din award... kaya ang taga Sykes panay outing every month...for free

it's not actually the call center that you will be paying, but the agency that will be conducting the training. it's similar to those medical transcription academies, but this is geared towards the call center industry. you will be taught basic grammar and syntax, spelling, diction, american culture, and even typing.
it may be a worthy investment if you feel that it will help you get into a call center. one way to tell if you need it is if you've applied in several call centers, and have not passed any of their interviews or exams.
good luck.

Hi...
just a suggestion though. please do not invest in such call center trainings because these training trainings are so expensive and yet there is no assurance that you will really end up working in a reputable call center. what i can suggest though is to go for an inexpensive training like:
1. you can watch a lot of english films. simply watching the film will not be enough of course you have to listen attentively so you would at least be familiar with the different american accents. this is very helpful because there are some call centers who has listening skill exams.
2. watch a lot of kids show the likes of Dora the Explorer or even Sesame Street because these shows focus more on teaching kids how to correctly pronounce words. with this you will also learn how to correctly open your mouths especially in emphasizing the pronounciations of long and short vowels.
3. read a lot of books. dont just simply read it but try to understand each word. now if there are words which you are not familiar of then list it down and look it up at the dictionary.
4. try to do a lot of oral reading and then record it. do it for straight 5 days. everytime you record an oral reading try to compare it with your other recordings so you'd identify what or which sounds better. it's also best if you have a friend who will be able to listen to you and advise if whether or not you have pronounced the words correctly. please avoid reading the daily news paper for your oral recordings. i would strongly suggest that you read novels of well known authors like Daniel Steel, John Grisham and the likes.
5. lastly you have to look at yourself as a 10 also not as a 6 or 7. what i mean to say is you have to have confidence also. confidence is very important if you wish to build a career in the call center industry.
it doesnt mean that if you read 5 books a day or watch 5 english films per day then tomorrow you will speak very good english already. do not be impatient with all these process because practice makes it perfect. it may take you some time or even longer to be able to learn all these but just be patient. PATIENCE is a VIRTUE... GOOD things come to those who WAIT... *okay* ;) Enjoy!!!

Hi all - in an effort to get back to the topic, what are the top 5 highest paying call centers: we participated in the industry-based Watson Wyatt survey and the Hewitt Total Compensation Survey - and the results are as follows:
TOP 3 HIGHEST BASE PAY PROVIDERS: (Ranked)
1. Convergys
2. Sykes Asia, Inc.
3. Etelecare Global Solutions
TOP 3 BENEFITS PROVIDERS: (Ranked)
1. Sykes Asia Inc.
2. Etelecare Global Solutions
3. PeopleSupport
TOP 3 TOTAL COMPENSATION CALL CENTER PROVIDER:
1. Sykes
2. Convergys
3. Etelecare
The basis for the compensation salary also takes into consideration company size and financial maturity (meaning that business outlook and forecasts dictate that their salaries are sustainable given their headcount and size.)
Convergys ranks as the highest base salary giver but Sykes still gives employees benefits that are over and beyond the capabilities of other MNC call centers. Their general benefits schemes are as follows:
1. Guaranteed 13th month pay.
2. Leave credits of 20 VLs and 20 SLs. All of which are convertible to cash with conversion schemes. Only the first 10 conversions are non-taxable. Mid-year conversion and end-year carry overs apply.
3. Compensatory and in lieu leaves.
4. Maternity leaves (double compensation separate from SSS benefit)
5. Bereavement leave
6. Paternity leave
7. Study grant option
8. 20% annual performance or merit increase depending on goal and core skills attainment
9. Credit tie up facility with PSBank
10. Medical and hospitalization coverage of up to 500,000
11. Insurance and accidental death coverage of up to 40X basic salary
12. DIminishing company loan of 1%
13. Hazard Pay
14. Night differential of 10% as per government practice
15. Meal, Rice and Transportation allowance (based on area)
16. Tax shelters for managers (depending on level)
17. Phone Allowance for managers (depending on level)
18. Language Allowance (for special languages)
19. Technical Support Allowance (for specialized technical support functions)
20. Lumpsum Bonus and special performance incentives
21. Campaign-based incentives (commisions, etc)
It must be mentioned though that benefits management is commensurate to company size and revenue stability. Sykes is a large company with over 8,000 employees all over the Philippines boasting of 6 centers nationwide.

Mabait sa mga TL ang Sykes - SPECIAL OVERTIME RATES AND ALLOWANCES!
FYI: Hazard pay applies when your shift BEGINS or ENDS from 10PM up to 6AM. It is like a supplement to the night differential pay though the rates are based on how far you are from your place of work.
I know the language allowance rates - rates depend on the language - THE HIGHEST I KNOW IN THE WHOLE INDUSTRY -sorry I can't divulge but trust me - mataas as compared to other BPOs.
Nakalimutan mo pa - may mga entry level agents na pinadala sa US - with allowances at US minimum wage rates - and they still get to have their regular compensation here in the Philippines.

I must say this in behalf of the people who started the Sykes Benefits Program....when i started out in 2000 for them, the benefits were really minimal - standard so to speak. But they hired this Asst HR Manager, who eventually became Regional Manager for Compensation, Benefits and HRIS who spun the entire thing off. It is worth mentioning that i have yet to see a better compben practitioner than Mayee Ramos.
Her group also started HRIS initiatives such as online leave applications and approval systems, Navigator Systems for employee database, recruitment and performance management, the enhanced HRIS of Sykes. To a certain degree logging in and out and filing of rolling schedules in Sykes became less of a hassle and more organizationally planned - and to a certain degree near paperless because of the silent efforts of the thinking individuals.
If you've ever been to the Benefits Orientation program - you'd know what i mean.

tidus1203,
Pay may have improved due to the more competitive environment[appearrance of more competotors and lack of skilled recruits]. Plus the fact that it is hard to convince a licensed Philippine stock broker[who probably regularly speculates as a source of extra income and works in a semi-laid back atmosphere] to work in 18 months straight graveyard shift.
MC21,
That account I mentined requires 2 licensure exams. That is why there is a US trip requirement. There are tech support accounts there that even pay like 30-40k gross per month[sweldong team leader] for a TSE position but require rather deep specialization.

up for this thread.
i'm starting tomorrow sa isang call center. i got hired less than 24 hours after submitting my resume.
question lang, i don't know if okay tong napasukan ko.
1 month training ang allowance is 15k
5 mos probationary period 15k ang basic, 2k ang meal allowance at 500 para sa transpo, all in all 17.5k, okay na ba ito?
20% night differential
five working days in a week.
more of email and chat support, mga 10% lang daw ang actual calls.
what do you guys think? i don't have any idea kasi kung okay ito compared sa ibang call centers.
thanks.

They offer 13k base pay + 10% night diff. + commish. meal/transpo allowance is pro-rated. don't be fooled pag sinabihan kayo na 2,500... it's not! minsan isang pay period m/t allow. inaabot *** ng 450. and what really sucks is laging may dispute yung sweldo mo, worse... eh baka ma-delay pa ng 2-3 days! goodluck nalang sa mga gustong mag-apply **. :)

up for this thread.
i'm starting tomorrow sa isang call center. i got hired less than 24 hours after submitting my resume.
question lang, i don't know if okay tong napasukan ko.
1 month training ang allowance is 15k
5 mos probationary period 15k ang basic, 2k ang meal allowance at 500 para sa transpo, all in all 17.5k, okay na ba ito?
20% night differential
five working days in a week.
more of email and chat support, mga 10% lang daw ang actual calls.
what do you guys think? i don't have any idea kasi kung okay ito compared sa ibang call centers.
thanks.
yup, okay na yan for starting pay. chaka to think na email and chat support, definitely less stress yan compared with phone support. kasi you get to think beforehand unlike pag phone support, pressured ka kasi nasa other end *** customer m. san yan? matry nga din.. ;)
anyone knows about the perks sa daksh? nagaapply kasi ko dun, email support din. i just had my typing exam today and mukhang okay naman. wait for a call daw coz i'll be interviewed by the hiring mgr tonight or tomorrow daw.

Mga peeps, check it out! Kung sa highest paid agents, wala tetelo sa VXI! Base pay, kung papasok ka araw araw is about 19,000 per month tapos bi weekly pa ang pay, every other Friday you know you will have your money. And if you give effort, you can make 4k to 5k in commission every two weeks. That is about 30k to 32k per month. Agent level if you are hard working, VXI has the highest paid agent, tl and above. Kung petiks ka lang, well mga 19k lang ang sweldo. Plus the environment is really good!\Many call centers are trying to follow VXI example today!

I think the company leasing the entire 2nd floor of the north parking building of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City is the most talked about company for the 1st Quarter of 2006. I think there was a long queue of applicants in this company who offer the highest basic pay (yet) for a technical support L1 position complete with non-wage benefits. This company promised to be the highest in ethical standards and had an open door policy for employee complaints.

Dell Manila occupies the 13,000 square meter office space in the SM Mall of Asia. Yes, they got the highest offer rate for an Level 1 Technical Support Representative. Much more if it is on the higher position. Even though it is a disadvantage in Northern Metro Manila residents because it is far, once the Mall officially opens on Feb 24 and the call center in Feb 13, buses would pass through the mall 24 hours a day.
I personally favor working in a tech position rather than a non-tech position because of it is continuous knowledge training. Bored to death naman kung paikot ikot lang ang ginagawa mo sa isang account na wala namang gaanong updates. Second, tech support accounts are more stable especially if it is in house, and more if it is a highly respective company with good ethical standards.
Pero sana naman last local employment ko na ito, sawa na ako sa Filipino office politics and crab mentality, and many agents want that di ba? Good pay but very dirty people management naman, di ko matitiis yun.

If sa E-performaxx, and your position is IP relay, you get a salary of 20-22k.
Anyway guys, have you heard of E-Vantage?
21,500 basic plus allowance and night diff... pero after the taxes ang take home mo is around 9-10 k every other week. laki nga ng basic laki rin ng taxes, and let's not talk about the working conditions there. :((

Yes. I believe that basic salary rate is not the basis but non wage benefits like medical-dental, employee awareness programs, and especially allowances. Basic salary rate will be slashed heavily by taxes that is why many companies offer a higher allowance. Hindi mo pa mabilang ang mga companies na good at first, sarado in the future.

Question: Anu naman ang pinaka average ng isang callcenter??? yung expected na ibigay *** pag newly grad ka?[/QUOTE]
it actually depends on what center you'l be applying...each center has its own salary rates! if you get the company that pays good then the better...but the bigger the pay...the more that you'll be workin your *** on it!

Feb 11, 2006, 05:28 AM
call centers that offer high compensation are generally inbound call centers because they give allowances on top of the base pay. pero if you really want to earn serious money, outbound call centers are the most lucrative. though the initial salary is not that high, the commissions more than make up for it if you perform.
dominator
Feb 11, 2006, 05:32 AM
at sa lahat ng outbound campaigns, verizon ang pinaka lucrative. call centers calling for verizon are acs, pacific hub, svi connect, epixtar & i forgot the last one. agents calling for verizon earn commissions as high as 20k a month. top rep na yun. most agents rake in 3k-5k.

Kung gusto nyo ng totoong L2, Resolution Specialists also known as L2 sa Dell is open since Feb 13. Wag na kayong mag apply as agent kung more than 1 year na kayo sa call center. Try a crack on the RS position.

Sa JP Morgan Chase Bank call center in Makati, the base pay for experienced call center agents ranges from 18-24k (basic salary yan, pwera pa ang night diff and allowances na non-taxable). Yung account ko pa is 80% analytical office work and only 20% outgoing calls na hindi quinoquota kundi kelangan gawin as part of the analysis you do in the other 80% of the job.
Interested? Text me at 0922 679 2755 so I can refer you> :) Hehehe, aaminin ko may referral benefit ako dito! Pero panalo talaga dito sa JP MOrgan Chase!

Yup RMH offers good salary. For Tech Sup, basic pay is 19-20k and you can earn upto 25+ depending on the OTs that you will render. Thats for MSN account. before, were earning a lot because of the OT pay, 200-300 per hour esp if its on queue. Free meals BUT your tax is high also.Every cut off. But its a good company though.
