Pero gasgas na yung chucks ko after only 3 months and when I wash it so it will look all-new again, the color faded a bit (or di lang talaga ako marunong :D ). I'm thinking of buying one of those adidas originals this weekend.

before locally-made Chucks cost only P300. actually i don't think these are available anymore (or am i wrong?). the ones available now for P1300 are made in china. but at least they have all the other colors and designs available.

and no offense, but IMO if anyone has to ask if something is pang-porma lang ba or "uso" lang kasi, then perhaps that person is just getting into it as a fad. if you like it, you'll wear it, period. no need to get approval from other ppl ;)

I still have my old dirty white chucks, which are 6 years old. I bought them for about Php300+. So I couldn't believe how expensive they are now! They're still in good condition, thank goodness! But I haven't worn them in a long time.

BTW, they aren't jologs. I think it's cool that Jamie Cullum wears them. ;)

I wore my first pair of Chucks when I was 13. I must have bought 20 pairs since then. If people think my shoes are out of style, I think the problem is with the people, not the shoes.

Don't wear the same pair for two days in a row, though. They tend to stink if not allowed to dry.

i like my chucks. my whole family has a pair of converse of some sort. i have the black suede, my son has the black high top with the red lining. my daughter has the red one. my brother has the red and the blue high top. my sister has the black one, too. my husband has the blue one and the hemp sneaker (which he gave away) and then asar na asar cuz he couldn't find another one like it. but they have a lot of new styles now. they have the camouflage in all colors, two tone, glittery *yuk*, neon colors, etc a big plus is it's cheaper than most sneakers. and it's a classic ;)

the ones you get in the tiangges are also from china... the ones in the major dept store are company released and standard retail priced from 1,350 up.... the ones you get in the tiangges sell for i think 500 pesos... IMHO, i think they look (chuck taylor sneakers) best on comfort fit, straight cut jeans/denim (chek out sum of dikies, jag, and of course levis)/corduroy (tama ba spelling?)/even slacks (as far as i go).
