In terms of achievement NCAA is far better than UAAP because
PBA produced the 4 MVP awards to a former NCAA players namely:
1. Ramon Fernandez of JRU
2. Alvin Patrimonio of MIT
Aside from the above name, the first PBA Sportmanship Award was received by former NCAA Letran Knights Samboy Lim.
And the Legend Caloy Loyzaga who compete in the international world competition was a former NCAA San Beda Red Lions.
Wanna bet.

Ramon Fernandez never played for the then Jose Rizal College. The closest he got to playing for an NCAA school was when he enrolled for a semester at the then De La Salle College when it was still an NCAA member. Fernandez is more identified as a product of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City.
By the way, the PBA MVPs from the NCAA are:
Freddie Hubalde - Mapua Tech 1977
Atoy Co - Mapua Tech 1979
Philip Cezar - Jose Rizal 1980
Alvin Patrimonio - Mapua Tech 1991, 1993-94, 1997
Vergel Meneses - Jose Rizal 1995
Willie Miller - Letran 2002
and those from the UAAP are:
Bogs Adornado - UST 1975-76, 1981
Robert Jaworski Sr. - UE 1978
Benjie Paras - UP 1989, 1999
Allan Caidic - UE 1990
Johnny Abarrientos - FEU 1996
Kenneth Duremdes - Adamson 1998
Danny Ildefonso - NU 2000-01

Yup UAAP produced MVP in PBA pero hindi pa nila napapantayan *** record ng NCAA players na 4 consecutive years na naging MVP sa PBA.
Eh sino jan from Bogs - Adornado to Danny Ildefonso na nagkaroon ng 4 MVP award, eh di wala.
NCAA is the best.

To all the respondents,
Sorry for posting this flaimbait thread, nagkakaroon nga lang ng away-away among us.
Di ko lang matiis kasi *** panlalait ng mga supporters ng UE Warriors.
Below are their comments:
Na ang NCAA daw ay walang kalatu-latoy at walang nanood unlike UAAP.
Wala raw kagana gana at parang agawan buko daw.
Di daw nakapag-produced ng Players sa PBA.
Kaya nag-post ako ng ganito, mejo malupit silang manlait.
Anyhow, thanks to all your reply, negative or positive man.

Do not be so harsh on some of the UAAP people here who have no clue about the NCAA. You are just feeding the flame. Ignore them. Lest you become like them. :D

Altaraboy is right... it wouldnt make them smarter and better... and if we're going to make the same mistake... it will really make us lesser than they are... so better ignore them...
like what i've said... we shouldnt compare NCAA and UAAP.. it will be an endless debate...

The assertion that the NCAA is better than the UAAP for the reason that the NC has produced 4 MVP players in the PBA and getting the first Sportsmanship award will only make up the premise that the “NCAA is the oldest league, therefore the NC is the best league there is.” Now, doesn’t it sound too flamboyant? Not to mention, very unlikely.
If you were to assess the two leagues, the disparity is too glaring for a mere spectator. Funny it is that one would construct that the NC has more substance than the UA just to make the argument plausible. Well in fact, most of the prized athletes from the different parts of the country are almost chained to their necks and already marked by the prying eyes by UP, ADMU, DLSU, UST, and FEU just to play in the UA. This is just to show you how the grand prowess of the recruitment programs of the UA schools work. Substance and matter, all you need to do is look up, and that’s the UAAP.
NCAA’s era is already on its cliff. Soon, there will be only the UAAP and the ‘other’ leagues. Better dust-off those NC history records ‘coz should this thread be brought up for the next 20 years, you will be only talking – and READING – about the history of the NCAA and the rest of the 19th century. ;)

tanggap ko pa rin na UAAP is better than NCAA..
marami pa dapat i-improve sa NCAA..
UAAP has more sports than NCAA, dahil may Women's league sila, so mas malaki ang contribution nila sa Philippine Sports
