its not directly the names of the alumni coming from a particular school that dictates the success of that institution of learning. It indeed would help to have a good list of alumni in some way, BUT it is how that institution created a positive impact on your life and your relation and worth to the community that would be the weighing scale of how effective and good your school is.

Emilio Aguinaldo, Manuel Quezon, Sergio Osmena and Jose Laurel are Letranites.

Cayetano Arellano, Victor Mapa, Manuel Araullo and Ramon Avanceña are also Letranites. Letran doesnt have a law school.

rizal didnt study in letran. nag-test lang siya for grade school, thats it. he went to ateneo instead.

Rizal was not sent to a Dominican school because of his brother Paciano.

Paciano was a student at the Dominican-run UST and his housemate/friend was a certain priest named, Fr. Jose Burgos. When Burgos was executed, Paciano feared that the Spaniards would run after him so he quit school and moved back to Calamba.

When Jose was going to Manila to study, it was decided that he should not go to the Dominican-run Letran because of the Burgos incident. It was also at this time that Jose changed his family name to Rizal instead of Mercado in order to disassociate him from Paciano. The only other boys' school in Manila was Ateneo, which was run by the Jesuits who had themselves just returned from exile. So, it's not true that Rizal was ever kicked out of Letran. I think it's you who should be checkin your history. Laurel and quezon did go to UP college of Law... I think your Proffesor or i should say "teacher"(as said by your school mate) has lack knowledge on history.

And you think your school is the ANSWER to this country's problem? Oh please wag kang magmalinis.

Some stupid people just wouldn't learn to stop making the age old stereotypes regarding blaming certain schools for f*cking up this country. Sure the schools might have influenced in shaping these certain individuals (it's up to the person if it was good or bad), but they are not 100% to be blamed, it still lies on the individual, and his/her free will for choosing that path. Even good trees produce bad fruit.

But I have to hand it to my school, you learn how deal with certain low lives and their limited comprehension by putting them in their place- the place where you usually put garbage. :D
