Does anybody here have any idea the number of applicants in the Faculty of Civil Law as against to the successful applicants?

many UP cum laudes fail to pass the UP LAE and yet we see non cum laudes pass said exam. i mean, what's the point of your glitch?
re: civil law entrance; there are people from ust legma who fail the entrance every year, matter of fact.

I've got a friend that graduated from UPd & got into UP Law. She's not a cum laude, far from it.

feeling ko nga parang dapat pa talaga nilang taas taasan ang standards sa admission, para naman tumaas taas rin ang passing percentage nila noh..
and yeah, may kilala ako cum laude ng UP mass com and naka two takes na ata sya ng UP LAE, e naka isang sem na sya ng Law proper sa AdMU, biruin mo yun!! well, i guess there are people who think theyre gunna be good lawyers but then, not really..

The UP LAE is an Aptitude exam and not an intelligence exam. Mismong UP College of Law na ang nagsabi nun.
Please, students can be good lawyers if they want to regardless of the school they choose. Hindi lang naman puro taga-UP ang nag-totop ng bar exams and there are many successful, good lawyers from a non-UP school. Admissions lang 'yan, students can still learn and grow and that's the true measure of a good school.

diba pag outh taking ng Lawyers, every laging UST ang pinaka-marami? i heard laging pinaka-maraming pinapa-exam at pinakamarami ring pumapasa, this is difrent from passing percentage. by categories rin ba ang bar exam results?

with respect to application at the UST, Faculty of Civil Law, during our time (2000), it was not at all selective. yun nga lang, garapalan ang tagaan once you get in. as far as i know, the said faculty has NOW become strict with regard accepting freshies and has implemented a higher QPI requirement for the accepted students.

^ kahit anong undergraduate degree mo, pwede kang mag-law.

My advice to freshies of UST Faculty of Civil Law, is to be a deligent student and do manage your time. You should be organized in your schedules especially your study time. Be receptive and always be optimistic with your professors.
