I had a pair of zeros (0.5) in college which lasted a couple of years. They served me well while trekking in the mountains, running, on trips to the beach and just for hanging around the pool.

These days I wear a pair of straight jackets. I use them almost every day for cycling, running and driving.

and since i am a newbie in the oakley world, i wanna know if what other models (prescriptive mdls) *** pwedeng itulog like i my friend told me his cousin has a box spring model ata..and he can use it kahit nakahiga, play basketball and stuff.

are the wiretaps work like these box springs, having threshold for impact or something?

before i forget, where to buy cheap original ones,any seller you can recommend? i kinda like the wiretaps more! got some mojo than the box springs imo!

i have a wiretap and so far, pinaka-okay saken tong model na to kase you get the best peripheral view. the frame does not get in your eyes way and literally you won't notice the frame sa gilid. though wiretap is heavier than the other models, it takes some getting used to lang.

i play badminton with my glasses on and it does not slip at maganda yung kapit sa ears.

about the lenses, popular optical shops can make the lenses for you. i have multi-coated and transition lenses so double purpose na.

be ready to spend about 9K+ for the frame alone and additional 5K to 8K+ for the lenses kung multi-coated at transition lenses and gusto mo.

depends on you but i think not cuz the lenses of sunglasses compared to the rx glasses are more ellaborate and has contours that the local optical shops might not be able to duplicate. Oakley US is doing that, the shades and rx glasses rolled into one but here in the P.I. di pa yata...

i suggest that you just get the transition lens. eto yung lens na nagfrorost at nagigiging dark when it gets in contact with the sun's heat or rays pero kapag normal temp, it works like a normal eyewear. for the multi-coated ones, may anti-reflective coatings yun which is intended to reduce glare, improve night vision and make the wearer's eyes more visible.:)

i finally got my oakley wiretap pewter! man it took a month before i claimed it @ the post office.

bought this on ebay for 3k++ petot including shipping. and of course authentic!

i was really hesitant to use ebay and paypal at first,but i pushed my luck :bashful: plus the long vacation which could amount to delay (although its expected from the POST:)).............. it's worth the wait! its worth the gamble!:naughty:*okay*

anyhoo...m thinking of getting a transition or multicoated for this one. any shop you can recommend for a cheaper lens?

last time i checked ronquillo in quiapo, it's 600 for multicoated (pair) and 3k+ for the transitions.

the malls are definitely more expensive i guess.

For me, Oakley is the best brand of sunglasses. I tried a lot of expensive sunglasses but this is the only one who works for me especially when I'm driving,it definitely protects my eyes from the sun's glare. Also, the lens are moisture-free, this is very helpful when the weather is so hot and you spend a lot of time outdoor. I have sunglasses that once you perspire, the moisture from your face/eyes blurs the lens and you have to wipe it as often as you need.. very irritating. Oakley's durability is proven too. I think Oakley is cheaper in the US, ask a favor from someone you know to buy one for you.

My sister-in-law has a prescription eyeglasses and she said it's a great deal too. :)
