depende sa number of guests tsaka kung saan ang venue ng kasal at reception... like kung hotel ang reception, asahan mo nang at least P1000 per head ang bayad. e kung 500 ang guest mo, e di 500K na yon.

well sa 25th wedding anniversary ng parent's ko, the cost sa Penninsula is already P195,000 for 150 guests.
That should give you an idea on a reception cost range.

Prepare a budget of P200k for a simple wedding (no-frills invitations, no designer gowns, less than 150 guests, rent a reception hall and get a cheap caterer). Then expect to spend 50% over your budget. :glee:

hi! i am getting married next month and we'll be having a small, simple yet intimate wedding (50 guests), max cost is P40,000 :)
since me and my hubby-to-be would be paying for most of the expenses, we asked our relatives for "donations", like who is willing to shoulder the flowers, cake, etc. doing this is a big help in easing our budget.
next, we cut down our entourage. we only have 6 sets of principal sponsors, the 3 sets of secondary sponsors, the maid of honor and bestman, plus a flower girl. no bridesmaids, groomsmen and ring/coin bearers. the rings and arrhae will be brought by the best man and maid of honor respectively. our entourage will shoulder their clothing.
for the invites and souvenirs, divisoria + a little creativity is the way to go!
reception would be held in a small garden resto in U.P.
for those who wish to have a practical and small-budgeted wedding, i hope my ideas would help :)

kulang yan kasi knowing the culture in provinces, imbitado ang buong bayan dyan. kahit hindi mo kakilalal, pupunta sa kainan. kaya malaki ang gastos sa province talaga. it's because of the food that you have to serve.

it really depends on the kind of wedding you want to have...i organized my own wedding kase and i usually help friends with theirs. there are 2 basic expenses...church and reception...the church fee is usually non negotiable but with a little pr they could probably upgrade the flowers for you... :) with the gowns naman you could select a design probably in a magazine and buy the cloth yourself sa divisoria and patahi ka na lang. Kung close mo naman yung entourage mo they could shoulder the expense for the gown (most of the time its ok with them). You dont have to spend naman sa principal sponsors coz usually sila ang bahala sa clothes nila. For the men naman, you can just ask them to wear barongs so basically its just the girls youre gonna worry about. For the reception, it really depends e. U could have it catered or u could go for those chinese restos...they usually have a package na including bridal car, souveneirs, cake, and overnight accommodation sa hotel. or if budget is really tight, you could have the reception sa open area, like clubhouse or something and you could just borrow from a relative some chafing dishes and have a relative do all the cooking. para lang presentable. for the invites, you could go sa qp (quiapo) they have the lowest prices there and divisoria naman for the giveaways. or better yet, have relatives sponsor bits and pieces of your wedding so you wont have to worry about those stuff. If you really want all the details i have a checklist here that i may email to you. Hope i was able to help. :)

2. Reception ang pinakamahal sa kasal and yes it depends on the number of your guest. you also have to choose kung catered or sa hotel na lang blah-blah-blah.. Lets sayt you have 100 guests...sa Max ata me 30-40K package sila...I dont know kung ilang oras nyo magagamit yung place.... sa Dusit Hotel naman...lagpas 100K..personally i don't enjoy food @ hotels.. parang yung atmosphere lang talaga yung binayaran ng mahal don tapos d naman ganon kasarap yung food.. mabuti pa hanap ka na lang ng romantic reception tapos pa-cater na lang..(lowest na nakita ko pa lang sa catering is 26K..2 Filipino main dish lang ata yun for 100 guests) better to ask yung relatives kung me gusto silang idagdag sa handa nyo :)
3. Normal Church fees range from 3K - 15K
4. Souvenirs/flowers/invitations can be donated by friends/relatives/sponsors.
5. Photo and Video Coverage.. this is the portion wherein you have to invest.. kasi after everything is done, what's left to you are the photos and video... when I attended Wedding Fair... packages range from 36K-60K.. grabe hahahah mukhang sulit naman.. but then again.. what if you don't have the figure? errr hanap na lang ng kasing galing na photographer/service pero ok na quality pa rin.. for this. i haven't scouted yet.. yung SOSI pa lang ang mga alam ko..sana mag-suggest yung iba...
o sya.. yan lang muna..isip pa ako..sana me idea na kayo magkano at least ang budget pag nagpakasal sa Pinas..

Buti na lang i found this thread.
My boyfriend and I are planning to get married 2 years from now. But as early as now, I am already budgeting our wedding!! To be HONEST, I know my dad can give me the wedding of my dreams but my man (aka hubby to be) can't. I mean, it would be impractical if we use up our savings just for our wedding. There are other things that are more important.
Anyway,my main concern is the reception venue. I want a simple, elegant, intimate wedding (w/ about 150 guests max) but i don't want it my wedding to look like "tinipid". I'm hoping everything will fit in our P300K budget. How much is it to rent Fernwoods Garden or NBC Tent? I'm guessing the rent doesn't include the tables and food yet so how much is it per table? And what about the catering?
Thanks!
eyedoc
Jul 5, 2004, 11:51 PM
Naku, Cosmo. Fernwood would cost you 65K just for the use of the venue, and if your wedding is still 2 years away, I'm sure tataas pa yan. I think they also charge a certain percentage for of the catering fee, and a separate electricity fee. Caterers nowadays can go from as low as 210/head upwards. They usually have packages that may include amenities like wedding car, cake, tables & chairs, etc.
Daming nagiging unexpected expenses that you haven't factored in at the start. Doon nagbaballoon ang expenses.

Yup Cosmo, tama si eyedoc. Mahal sa Fernwood. If you'd like a similar ambiance/setting, you can try in Coconut Palace. It's much cheaper. My brother had his reception there. Mga 300 guests niya. From what I remembered, we hired the catering services of Josiah. Josiah's office is in Eastwood, Libis. They have packages to suit your needs. The package includes a 1-day coordinator/emcee and bridal car service.
For your gown, I suggest you go to Edward Teng. I've been going there ever since my graduation ball. My parents spend 40K-50K (hindi lumagpas basta ng 50K) for the bridal dress, 4 bridesmaid, 1 maid of honor, 2 in-laws (moms of both sides). The bridal dress was really nice, it looks like the 40k was just the bridal dress :)
For the photo/video coverage, my brother had a little canvassing. Small lang *** photo/video store but their outputs are great!! around 30K-40K including 1 huge blowup. It's Joe Boquerin, hindi lang ako sure sa spelling. It's in Las Pinas, inside Moonwalk Village. Kasi my brother asked for a quotation sa Santos' shop, and they kept asking kung san ikakasal brother ko...when they learned na sa Manila Cathedral at Coconut Palace *** reception...they gave a price of 60K!! Sobrang taga diba.

thanks eyedoc, pseudonym!
pseudonym: how much did your brother pay for the reception at Coconut Palace? My budget for the reception is just 150-180k for about 120 to 150 guests (grabe may guest list na ako). So i don't really need a big space. I just want it elegantly decorated.
re edward teng, i had my gown made there when i was a bridesmaid. ok lang. nothing great but my mom's gown was really nice! my budget for my wedding gown is 30k to 40k lang sana. I'm planning to rent a Vera Wang gown. There's this place in New York where they allow brides-to-be to rent designer wedding gowns for 3 days to a week for $300-$500! I can ask my cousin to ship it to me. Don't know if it's a good idea though - i mean, i'd love to wear Vera Wang but i want my OWN wedding gown too. Anyway, locally, i'm thinking of Nyork (spellcheck pls) who did the gown of cousin and the entourage. Very nice :)
Anyway, thanks guys!

Cosmo: Tama si eyedoc with the price of the venue alone for Fernwoods, 60k-70k din ang pagkasabi ng dad ko. I asked my dad but he can't remember how much exactly did he pay for sa Coconut Palace but he gave an esimate of 20k-30k for the place palang. The food/catering services vary kasi on your menu. But I'm sure the package that my parents got was more than the minimum probably 500 per person.
With regard to renting a Vera Wang gown, actually my younger sister dreams of having a VW gown on her wedding. In fact she has pictures of her dream wedding gowns, mostly from Vera Wang's collection, neatly organized in our PC. Hehehe. Well, tama ka dun sa nothing great about Edward Teng's gowns. Baka better if you'll have your bridesmaid, in-laws, and maid of honor gowns done there kasi you can really bargain. I suggest lang na you get your own wedding gown kasi after the wedding itself it's nice to have memories & souveneirs all kept intact for your future children to see :)
Anyway balitaan mo na lang kami ha!

you have to pay for your wedding, not your parents,
unless otherwise they insist of course.
dati siguro ganon. :)
