transferring to U.P. Diliman

How hard is it to transfer to U.P. Diliman? Are they really that strict with the grade requirements? I want to transfer to a science program that is non-quota.

Can anybody in PEX with experience in tranferring to U.P. Diliman answer my questions?

i'm from UPD..yes it's hard. some programs do not even accept transferees......and your gunning for science??
tsktsktsk....well, kung sobrang taas siguro grade mo (hmm mga 1.15).
depede rin kung ilan ang natanggal sa program na gusto mong pasukan..ganun din kadami pwdeng ipalit....
at saka prioriy UPD shiftees...then transferees from other UP units...tapos lastly from other schools.


i suggest, kumuha ka muna ng madaling pasukan
e.g.Philippinse Studies, Theater, sa CAL maraming pagpipilian dun.

ah talaga? eh paano ang chemistry? iyon kasi talaga ang gusto ko eh. marami bang natatanggal doon at marami bang nagshi-shift doon? hehehehehe

Science na non-quota? That's unheard of. At least as far as I know ha. Wala atang science course na non-quota.

Ito yung requirement sa chemistry for people from other universities.

-GWA of 1.5 or better. Finished five units of chem with a grade of 1.5 or better. Science average of 1.5 or better.

-must pass validation exam in chem 17 if another 5 units of general chemistry have been taken.

Lam ko non-quota yung chemistry eh. Marami din akong kakilala na magshi-shift out sa chem, including me. (sana Biology ako!!)

Are they very strict regarding their policy on the grades? I am afraid that my grades won't meet up to their standards.

they are... pero i don't know kung ano requirements nila. i'm from the department of geography. 2.5 required samen.
