are these because of constant visit to derma and spas? or are they taking certain medicines which make skin smooth.

Make-up. Regine Velasquez's skin in person isn't smooth at all. She became whiter, yes, but not smoother.

You should see Oprah without make-up on! She made an episode where she showed how it takes a dozen people to make her look how she looks on the cover of her magazine. A very good eye-opener on how showbusiness creates this unattainable standard of beauty that drives ordinary people to insecurity.

So just take everything you see on billboards, print ads and television with a grain of salt... God didn't create man without imperfections!

Pag maitim ka maitim ka na!! That's it. Sakit lang sa bulsa ang aabutin kung pipiliting pumuti. Important basta makinis ang kutis at malinis ang appearance k na yun.

where do you see these celebs? On TV and Magazines? There's always soft lighting, make-up and Photoshop to make even the less-than-perfect skin perfect.

Classic example is Jericho Rosales. If you think he has *nice* skin, you're very wrong. I've seen him live and in person (he went inside our agency once), all I can say is, man, he should be going to the dermatologist to get microdermabrasion everyday!

FYI: glutathione (or even atomolan) does not improve one's skin texture. it merely makes one's skin fairer but it does not treat acne. the vitamins that supplements it are the ones that help perk up one's skin. in other words, vitamins lang ang solution nyo sa skin problems nyo. eat lots of veggies and fruits, particularly those with high vitamins C and E. tsaka drink lots of water. sobra yung acne ko dati pero when i started taking vitamins and drinking 2 liters of water a day, nag-improve talaga skin ko. so you might wanna try it.

what's wrong with being morena? i have fair skin, but i find golden-tan/ morena people really attractive. glutathione is really expensive. but i heard from my derma that it is really effective. but then, once you stop using this tablet, your natural color will go back. dang, you can't be rich and take those tablets forever. that's insane. better love your color. =)

okay so how do you get this golden-tan skin tone? I heard of this "airbrushing" thing instead of using tanning lotions. Ang ganda tignan pag "tan" ang skin especially when wearing sundresses. I'm not really for the "mestiza" skin type, I think what's important talaga is to have clear skin, yun walang acne, warts, etc. dapat masaya ka na dun! morena/fairskinned akitch, so ano tips to get that golden tone?

di ko lam kung merong "airbrushing" dito sa manila.. pero may nakikita akong brand like clarins, which offer tanning products.. si rissa samson, kahit morena na sya, gumagamit pa rin sya ng tanning lotion para ma-enhance yung color nya..

personally, i think having morena skin is beautiful. :) and having porcelain like skin is also beautiful. to each his own ryt? nothin wrong with pampering yourself and trying to "beautify" yourself more. But as for celebrities, madami theyre not naman that striking or perfect or makinis in person. u guys are right, sometimes its the lighting, make-up and airbrush effects! teehee... :D

rissa samson IS really beautiful though. She was my classmate in Ateneo and even before she got really popular, she was always well dressed and ver,very pretty. and she has a kid already! wow :*)

Before taking anything, you should research first!!! Those Whitening/Lightening creams that did not undergo the tests of BFAD should be avoided...ever hear of Mercury poisoning??? And it's high in Saudi Arabia<where the supposedly Magic Cream came from>. As for the Glutathione pill....IT IS AN ANTI-OXIDANT!!! it's good for the body. It actually is a supplement. It has been around for a looon loooong time, ngayon lang sya sumisikat but it's now being branded as a WHITENING PILL. Yung sinasabi nyo naman na it also whitens the hair and eyes, it's because there are two types of this supplement the GLUTATHIONE(in strong form) and the L-GLUTATHIONE (in reduced form). na try ko nang mag glutathione. actually maputi na ako pero nag try ako for 30 days yung reduced form. and it was very effective. medyo nagalit lang yung mama ko kasi maputi na raw ako nagpaputi pa mukha daw tuloy akong anemic. pero anyways, okay naman for me yung result. satisfied ako.

i'm taking L-glutathione capsules for 2 weeks already. so far,so good. although i'm already maputi ah so baka psychological effect lang na pumuti ako lalo. :D but the reason why i'm taking L-glutathione capsules is to whiten some parts of my body which are quite dark.

btw, if you want to buy glutathione make sure you buy it from a doctor. para sigurado kang hindi fake. and of course, you can take some legal actions in case something gets wrong :D

i think a good facial with whitehead/blackhead extraction every few months helps a lot. a lot of spas/salons do this, and it's not that expensive. the spa i go to, natural spa along katipunan avenue, has a basic facial for 850. it's really helped keep my face blemish-free.

oh yeah - sunblock, lots of fruit, veggies and water are essential. and no picking at pimples! ;)
