Fats and Oils 101

ALL plant based oils has no cholesterol. Vegetable oils sold in the market has NO cholesterol i.e. peanut, corn, olive, coconut, canola, grapeseed, etc... Ngayon, saan nagkakatalo? Yep, no cholesterol nga, and yet some oils are high in saturated fat i.e. long fatty acid. Yung mga nabibiling ordinaryong vegetable oils contains coconut oils most of the time which is VERY HIGH in saturated fat. Kaya nagiging saturated ang oils because of it's type of production, iniinit kasi yun to a high temperature tapos pinupurify, nilalagyan ng kung anu-ano para mag-stabilize. Look at shortening and margarine(Star), solid sya at room temperature!

Extra Virgin coconut oils are different, cold processed sya kaya hindi sya saturated oil. Ang fatty acid chain nya is very much comparable to that of olive and canola oil...

Doctor Coconut

AN AMERICAN health expert is amazed that more than 80 million people who live in a veritable coconut paradise planted to 300 million trees have not fully utilized the healthiest dietary oil on earth.

For opening the eyes of many people, including nutritionists and skeptical medical professionals in the United States, to the scientific fact that virgin coconut oil's unique and abundant antimicrobial properties makes it superior to any other oil, naturopathic physician Bruce Fife has been dubbed "Dr. Coconut."
