back then, may pick-up charge na sila na P35.00 tapos pagdating nila dun at once na inform ka na nila na nandun na yung taxi, papatak na ang meter.

I've called taxi dispatch services only during payday weekends (especially when I stay at the mall past 10pm). Usually walang kukuha sayo kasi "walang available" (stir, natatrapik lang sila). while most of them are cheap (just add a good tip) but i think Avis charges way too much... Imagine going to Rockwell from Ayala center would cost you Php80, when MGE or R&E and the like would cost only about Php50... Its up to you lang talaga... Oh, they're safe ^_^

I've been seeing cabs called "BASIC TAXI", pretty new white Corollas (not Altis, but the model before). I wrote down the number somewhere I'll post it on this thread as soon as I find it.

PS. I had been looking for this thread at the Travel and Liesure forum! Now that this thread has resurfaced, yun namang papel ang hahanapin!

I recommend DOLLAR taxi. I always use their service whenever I have to stay late. They just charge you the actual meter cost. Here's the number: 9212383.

These taxi services are actually convenient to a lot of people, including me. At least, getting home safe is one thing less to think about.

I've tried R&E. okey naman sila.Okey din service sa Dollar -- the drivers are corteous.

Xavierville taxis at times charge extra depending on the destination. But they call you back if the taxi is already at your area and di ka pa nakikita ng driver nila.

MGE taxi service, pag wala available malapit sa area mo, they make you call back. Sa R&E and Dollar, they try to get one talaga for you.

i don't like emp- bad experience with them.

i used to have a graveyard shift, and there are only 3 choices for me when it comes to taxi dispatch service--emp, r&e and mge. Unfortunately, since double work (naia sa morning, and call center sa night) ako during that time, medyo sleepy na ko and sobrang tired. While in the cab, i'm texting that's why when i get off the cab, the only thing in my mind is to be able to reach my bed the soonest possible time. When i'm about to open our gate, saka ko narealized na wala yun cellphone ko and nasa lap ko siya, naiwan ko nga sa cab, funny kase kita ko pa din yun cab sa street namin, di ko na lang mahabol, so when i was able to go inside na, i called emp for them to be able to get in touch dun sa sinakyan kung cab, alam ko pa naman kase yun plate number and naka record name ko. mga 2 hours nag-try yun operator na makausap sa radio yun driver ng cab pero hindi sinasagot, then when the operator was able to talk to the driver na, ang alibi kaya hindi sinasagot radio was because nag-coffee siya and that wala siyang napansin na cellphone, isa pa may sumakay din daw agad sa cab pagbaba ko. So yun, di na nabalik yun cellphone ko, but on my end i still believe na may kinalaman yun driver, hindi niya na lang sinauli, kase how can he explain yun di niya pagasagot sa radio niya considering an tinawagan agad siya ng operator pagkapasok ko sa house.

in my experience, ok *** R&E. matyagang mag-radyo *** operator. sa iba kc uulitin lang nila ng 3 beses *** location mo in rapid succession. kung walang mag-respond agad, give up na sila.

pero lately walang sumasagot sa R&E. we've been calling 3301654 and 3304176. nagbago ba sila ng number?

AVI and BASIC have a sort of "terminal" sa may shangri la. may patong na P50 yata sa meter nag bayad dun.

minsan may nawitness akogn scene na ganito.
* papauwi na yung isang group of people tapos obviously di nila alam yugn patong dun.
* nagulat sila na bumalik ang isang kaibigan nila na pinaskaya dun.sinabi kasi nya na may patong dun.
*ayun yung isang lalaki nagwala.naglit. tinanong yung pangalan ng drive.ayaw ibigay ng driver.kaya ayu nagalit uli.
* kinuhanan pa ng phpot ang taxi plate number tapos yaun nag alburuto uli
* tapos may dumaan na patrol tapos ni report ng lalaking yugn n ag taxi driver. yung mga police naman walang idea sam ga nangyayari/patakanarn dun kaya ayun kinuwestyon yung driver, yung lalaking nagreklamo umalis na rin yata
* may isang bystander,suki ng taxis dun nag naginfrom sam ga police na ganun talaga nag patakaran dun so umalis din sila.
