What does it take to be a consistent Dean's Lister?
How far are you from being one? Why?

more specific?
um, i think there isn't one universal style that would help you get to the top. i think you just gotta like what you do and eventually develop the passion for it, and everything will fall into place.
it worked for me. i'll be doing my parents proud this april on graduation day :P

What works for me will not necessarily work for you. Believe me, you would not want to be in my shoes. My only free time is sleep and eat. Its all about adapting to the challenges..
One thing is for sure.. You should WANT to be a Consistent DL by having the character to be there..
Passion and Focus.. Love what you do and know why you do it. See the bigger picture of how important readings and class discussions are. Dont memorize but, rather, understand the concepts.
Proper and Efficient Time Management.. "Kung gusto may paraan. Kung ayaw, maraming dahilan". What do you do on your idle time? When should you start doing a project and study for quizzes? How extensive should your knowledge be on any subject?
Finally, there is no greater relief than knowing you gave everything you had regardless of outcome. No regrets..
Give your Best. Let God do the Rest!!
sometimes you would need luck as well. minsan kasi may mga prof din na sobrang kuripot magbigay ng grade eh...

Luck has always in my opinion played a big part in the little successes I've enjoyed (including being on the Dean's List and such). That being said, I often find that the harder I work, the luckier I get.
There is something to be said, though, about reflecting critically about why you want to achieve a goal so badly -- and why you might be falling short no matter how hard or long you try. At what point do you say "this just isn't for you" -- and that you'll be perfectly happy giving up your goals to scale whichever mountain for something else that may well be more meaningful (and which you may be neglecting given your current focus)?
What is the difference between letting go and being a quitter?

Letting go is a sign that you know the limitations of your capabilities. A sign of wisdom, IMHO. A quitter never finds out his.
