we may have seen the last of a vanishing generation of broadcasters who valued substance over style, integrity over fame, and knew when to let events unfold and speak for itself. my deepest sympathies to ka kiko's family and to philippine broadcast media.

The news of Ka Kiko's demise is a shock to me. That's because his presence has been kept from the "masa" audience for so long already. I also guess that the limited audience he is now getting as an exclusive ANC announcer and his backdoor role as adviser to DZMM, may have hastened his departure from the world.
Ka Kiko's voice on television has been on my mind ever since I was a kid. I guess we will never find another broadcast journalist as good as him.
Television has just lost another pillar at a time when sex and references to it are the main attractions of major TV networks, including his home network ABS-CBN.
Little by little, the good people that lent prestige to ABS-CBN were fading away, and its up to the people right now in power at that network to make sure that the legacy Ka Kiko has left behind, be strictly adhered on its current crop of news talents and broadcast journalists.

 grabe, kakagulat naman ang pagkamatay niya kasi kahapon pa lang, pinag-uusapan namin ng officemates ko na may taning na sya sa buhay, pero di ko lam na kahapon sya mamamatay :( my condolences to his family, a loss to the ABS-CBN family as well as the broadcasting industry, nag-iisa lang ang Kiko Evangelista *okay*

bata pa 'ko, si ka kiko na napapanood ko sa tv. like what most of you said, he's really one of the jewels of the broadcasting community. wala ka nang makita na katulad nya na totoo sa propesyon nya.. 'yun bang alam talaga 'yung mga sinasabi n'ya at may integridad.
he deserved more exposure and attention than noli de castro, really.
condolences to his family.
