Lush: The search feature really is a problem with most UBB software. There is a bug in the software that prevents the search function from working, and that in the next few months, we are looking to upgrade the software and hopefully, that one will have less bugs -- Nix.

harley quinn: Aragorn's net connection is so slow daw that logging-into PEx and waiting for the posts to load becomes a very time-consuming task. Hopefully, he'll be getting a faster ISP in the near future. And yes, we all miss his intelligent posts.

Ann: When a member is banned, his other nicks are not automatically banned. I'm not sure but I think the administrators usually wait for his other nicks to commit a violation before those are locked-out as well (Paging Batang Uliran and Nix!)

The only way to edit a thread topic is to delete the entire thread and re-post it again. What I do is check my post for glaring grammatical and spelling errors immediately after it is posted. If it has errors, I delete and correct it before someone has posted a reply (remember that if you delete a post you started, all the succeeding replies will be deleted as well.)

Braveheart, we are about to come up with a stricter set of rules regarding proper language and forum decorum. But we do want to find a balance between keeping the site spanking clean, and keeping freedom of expression.

Oh by the way, this one is for Slurbrun -- Dude, you have a lot of interesting ideas but try to stay away from, err, not too descriptive words. Sorry I had to delete one of your threads in Isyu ng Bayan even though the content was not that offensive -- Something to do with your title and your first paragraph.

So everyone, please, exercise some restraint. Let's not get into too many word wars and cuss words. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so let's respect that. And to those who aim to just cause trouble, we will have to police your posts and maybe even, ban your nick.

Well said, nix. There's a whole world of difference between freedom to express your beliefs and being verbally abusive or personally attacking another poster. While I am guilty in one occassion of getting my anger riled, I hope posters won't make it a habit to offend others.

Let's tone down on the profanity peepz. I've had to edit, sometimes delete, some posts because of offensive language.

Can we also focus on more thought-provoking topics? It's not that the mods want to be serious all the time, it's just that we've noticed that some topics were in bad taste so we had to delete them.

Lastly, try to post your topics in the the proper forum so we don't have to move them ourselves.

Kulit: While most of the moderators would insist na matataba sila, in reality, everyone would be just about right or a little overweight lang (di ba, boys? :D ). The size xs moderators would be Ada, me, and Chix.

Kuya Danny: Kaboom! is a sportscaster and the resident male crush-ng-bayan. Chiqui would be the female crush-ng-bayan. :) I'm a physician, as you probably know already. :)

Ira and I are doctors.

Kaboom is a sportscaster for the UAAP games and various other athletic events; he graduated college from Northwestern in Chicago.

Aragorn, Nix and Mikoid were college friends at the Ateneo. Currently, Aragorn teaches and Nix and Mikoid both work for an internet start-up with plans to put up a Philippine internet portal. Nix is head of communications and community services while Mikoid is head of content.

Caramba works for the same company as Nix and Mikoid as head of the Marketing group. Ada also works for the same group and is project head for PEx.

ChiQui is a student at UP, a looker and a cheerleader.

Crush?! LOL, I think I can speak for all the moderators when I say walang may crush sa isa't isa. :D As for my crush, I'm way past the crush-crush stage. I can honestly say na wala akong crush kahit kanino, PEx poster man o hindi. :) (Pwera na lang si Troy...o si Tom Hanks...)

I became a moderator when BU e-mailed me and asked me to moderate the What's Up Doc forum. Nix also mentioned it to me beforehand. While BU is as capable to moderate that forum (actually, even more capable pa), he didn't have much time na, what with his practice in the US and his being an admin and also a moderator of Announcements and Suggestions. :)

How did I become a moderator? Nix and Batang uliran emailed me asking if I was interested in becoming the moderator of People, Events and Places forum, known before as Gimmick Atbp. Who can say no to that diba? :) As for moserating Campus and Career, that came a couple of months later since I'm the only student among the mods.

As for how much sleep? Hmm... roughly six to eight hours. :)

Jennifer: The EB last December was held in a condo in Makati. Around 30-40 people came. I think most of the people had fun since we had a program.

Who actually started Pex? It was the brainchild of Batang Uliran. He, along with marco, Kaboom! and nix, started PEx.

Is it good working for Pex? Technically, I'm the only one who gets paid to work on PEx. :D Caramba, Mister Dean, and Mikoid are my officemates but they're assigned to other projects. The mods are moderating out of the goodness of their own hearts.

Also, out of curiosity, does it take a lot of money to keep Pex up? Kasi na-notice ko, wala masyadong ads. As far as I know, the money needed to keep PEx up and running goes to webhosting and the UBB software. Of course, you also need tech people to help you run the site.

How many smilies are there (aside from the ones in the legend) and how do I post them all? The smilies not included in the legend come from other sites. You can use your favorite search engine to look for them, then upload them to your webpage and link to them.
