I've been told that they are building a full-blown interchange on Commonwealth/Batasan. It'll have both a flyover and a tunnel, and work something like this:

Commonwealth (to Fairview) -- flyover
Commonwealth (to QC) -- flyover
Fairview side (to Batasan) -- flyover
Batasan to QC -- tunnel

However, the traffic will still be pretty bad unless they can keep the buses from stopping at Ever. When I drive around on Sundays the only place with bumper-to-bumper traffic in all of Metro Manila is Ever Gotesco Commonwealth.

When visiting Pinas, my grandaunt's place in UP Village near the Claret Church is one of the places I stay in....but I remember UP Village from way back in the days growing up....it's gotten crowded though....masikip....used to be really spacious and a bit more peaceful then....too many motorcycles as usual :D hehehe....I miss riding the motorcycles. My other cousins live in Tomas Morato near Alfredo's and I got other cousins living inside UP Diliman near the co-op since their parents are professors. :D

if you guys haven't tried passing commonwealth ave., try it most especially during rush hours. from the corner of commonwealth-quezon memorial circle to ever gotesco to batasan and the talipapa; where normal driving will only take you like 10 minutes, you will have to bear the traffic for like 1 hr. if you're lucky.

so i agree that commonwealth ave., quezon city is the traffic capital of the philippines.
