Last year, we had the 80's as our theme. We were all decked out in Bagets gear and we played new wave music all night long. It was a very fun party!

The year before that it was the 70's. So it was bellbottoms and disco music. Another fun party.

I'm hoping this year it will be a 90's revival party. I'm imagining we will all be in flannel shirts and playing grunge music.

Couple of years ago, we did our own version of "The Amazing Race" where we divided our group into two then we made both groups follow a list of clues around different establishments in the Timog and Morato area.

That was really fun, especially because both teams were super competitive.

We're thinking of going native this year. Will keep you posted if I remember to...

last year we group ourselves in 4 groups: 1. Santa team 2. angel team 3. reindeer theme 4. star team.. we dressed accdg to assigned team with matching presentations. It was fun kasi imagine us doing the parlor games wearing costumes.. yun na yata ang pinaka-masayang x-mas theme namin...:)

our theme for our christmas party this year is "pirates and gypsies". i think it's cute :)

It was a Hat party for us last year haha. There was a cash prize for the best hat.

this year's theme in our office is "Broadway". we were divided into 5 groups and we picked broadway musicals to perform on the night of the party.

last year was "Ballroom", the other year was "80's". i hope next year we can have choral competition.

Themes of some of the Christmas parties I've attended:

1. Movies, movies, movies

Each division had to think of a movie on which to base their members' costumes and presentation. One group went with 101 Dalmatians. All of the members -- except the division head who went as Cruella -- dressed in white, with black spots (made of art paper) attached to their outfit and paper dog ears. For their presentation, they did a reenactment of one of the scenes from the movie. Galeng !

2. Masked Ball

Everybody wore formal clothes and masks. Best mask and most creative mask wins a prize. I don't know how she did it, but one party-goer had on a Queen Amidala mask. The headdress alone must have weighed a ton. Whew !

3. Fantasy and anime

Everyone had to come as either a comic/anime character or a make-believe character. Some of my favorites: one project team went as members of the Shohoku basketball team (from the Slam Dunk anime); one team went as characters from the Matrix -- as agents, as Trinity, etc; our team went as students from Hogwarts -- we rented togas, printed House badges from the Internet to stick to our 'robes' and used chopsticks for wands.

Last year we had a children's party theme, tipong may baloons and cakes pa. Then we have to dress up as kids. Besides, Christmas is for children naman di ba? Pati games namin for kids. I think it would've been better if we did it na may kasamang less priveledged kid.
