i have a problem with Photoshop...

I made a design for buttons using Photoshop 7 with a size of 4x4 inches, but when I see the actual print size of the buttons...parang ang liit nya. It's not the actual 4x4 inches?

Is there a setting for it that I need to adjust?

Please help...

Thanks!

Save as jpg and psd na yung ginawa ko...pero ganun pa rin eh...

Anyway is there any setting that I need to adjust in order for me to view the actual size of my project? Lumiliit kase sya whenever I want to view at as actual print size?

thanx

The default Resolution in Photoshop is 72 pixels/inch (dpi/dots per inch). That is mostly for web graphics, suited for monitors.

But if you're going to do print work, you should set the Resolution to around 300 dpi (pixels/inch) when creating a new image.

Take note that in 300 dpi, the image will be extremely huge when viewing it at 100% with a regular monitor. Make sure you have a lot of memory and processor power, but if it's just 4x4in I guess all non-obsolete PCs can handle it.

If you want to see the actual size in your monitor just change the resolution to 100.

When you said "see the actual print size of the buttons", are you referring to the screen or a printed hardcopy? What you see on screen is not always the right size nor colors. It's always best to have a hardcopy at hand even if it's a draft.

Yeah, it might be the resolution...72 dpi perhaps? Tama, it should be around 300 dpi (100 at least)...
