Just like Kramer in his rookie year, Walsham has been used sparingly this year. But as we saw during the DLSU-UST game, he's got the skills.

If Kramer is able to produce those so-so numbers this year, I think Walsham is more than capable of outdoing Kramer next year. I am projecting him to be a starter next year, along with Gaco, Cardona, Yeo, and TY Tang. By next year, that should be a powerhouse lineup, considering that La Salle will have the most intact competitive lineup next season. Ateneo will lose Wesley, Alvarez, and I think Larry. UE will lose so many players, and FEU will lose Jones and Miranda. That only spells good things for us.

Who knows, next year, we might actually be gunning for a back2back.

Animo La Salle!

DLSU's answer to L.A. Tenorio is Mark Benitez.... simply because of the nose.

The backcourt of LaSalle should be solid next year if Villanueva returns healthy and has not lost his explosiveness. A match-up problem for most team because of his height. Tang, Gatchalian should be the back-up and free the coaching staff to use Casio in his customary spot of a shooting guard.

The frontline needs additional players. I am not sure if team B players like Maierhofer, Pablo Espiritu and the guy from Zobel can make the team or even get significant minutes. Are there any other tall 4-5 players in the high school ranks? Benitez and Walsham plus Gaco will man the 4-5 spot unless Gavino wakes up from his stupor and starts contributing to the team.

i dont understand why the hype for cholo villanueva....i saw this guy play and damn.....he's overrated...."lampa" and could not even bring the ball down. i dont even consider this guy in the lineup..even as a second stringer...sayang lang ang spot, give to others who is more deserving...

He can match up better with Chiu.

Chiu has the skills but still quite raw pretty much like PJ. Both move the same way. PJ may have a slight advantage in getting rebounds because of his bulk but as to shot blocking, I give Chiu the edge. As for offense, I'd say Chiu has a slight advantage because he can shoot from the perimeter and he has a decent hook shot.

At the end of the day, it's 55-45 in favor for Chiu.

Oh.... btw... I am not talking about Chris Tiu. I am talking about the 6'6" 14-year old center of the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eaglets.

Peace.

seriously, what's the real story on cholo?

wala ba siya sa lineup dahil
1) bagsak?
2) napabayaan gawa kay agnes?
3) injured?
4) nagpapahingga lang?
5) nasa team B?
6) other

My tito and me were watching this guy practice once, and I just want to share my honest expressions. This guy has the making of a good point forward someday.. I think his time is now

1) He can shoot 3pointer with consistency
2) He has a wide wingpsan
3) He has good lateral footwork, and so he can follow his defender
4) He can make good layups

He is the complete package. He can be the most Improved Player Next year.

all of this can be attributed to magnum membrere (except wingspan) or ramon paolo bugia...

the question is can they do it in game time? how well can they play defenders? these are questions that might be left unanswered until next year, but what i'm saying is, you may never know...

after all, jc intal was similarly as good in last year's bantay bata shoot around (yes, he can shoot threes), but he did not quite break out this year yet...

will walsham be able to eclipse that? only time will tell...

if your talking about jonas and animogreen, i think that jonas has nothing to do with this thread (yet)... i mean, his only comment is in this thread is about paul chua... not walsham...

PAOLO BUGIA CANNOT SHOOT THE THREE WITH CONSISTENCY. THAT WAS POINT # 1.

Please think before you speak.

and you said "i watched this guy in practice ONCE"... so much for consistency there...

i haven't really seen PJ play so i can't say he's really good... but i heard from his fellow Archer that he's being groomed to be the next center. Sharma and Ramos will be gone next year so they need a big man on the court. :)

good luck to him! i hope he will help bring back the glorious championship days of DLSU next year! ;)

ANIMO LA SALLE! :D

Thats why Wa;sham will be dominant. He has the skillz of a point guard in a center's body.

He will either be backup to Benitez or Benitez will be his backup or vice versa.

Parang unbeatable na ang La Salle aH!
