FOR MANY REASONS:

1.HEIGHT he is too small for a wing man.

2.DEFENSE he looks to score not to defend even COACH ALAS doesn't believe in his defense. he is being pulled out on the crucial stages of the game when they are playing defense...
That was evident in their game against UPHR...

3. HE CAN'T EVEN BE A POINTGUARD. he looks to score rather than to pass or orchestrate plays...

4.SHOW BOATING he loves to showboat, he is losing focus!!!

Am I the only one who thinks that the word "heart" is the missused word nowadays? even though you had a good basketball career in your college days it doesn't mean you're a "shoe-in" in the pba. PBA teams look guys with height and if the guy is flexible to adjust to any position. Ex. If you played the #4 or #5 spot in your amateur days you should move up to the #3 spot. The guards/forwards will go naman sa #1 spot(point guard position). Swertehan lang siguro kung ikaw yung "type na player" na hinahanap ng team. Your basketball skills should be "exceptional"/extraordinary, dapat you should "standout" from the rest, not just some regular guy who has height, can shoot and dribble the ball and expects to make it in the big league.

last time i checked, ronjay's tuition and accommodation is being paid for by letran because.... :glee: he's expected to bring championship to the colegio. isn't that why hot shot players get incentives and perks because they're expected to hold the end of their bargain? what he does after he leaves the four walls of the colegio is completely up to him..

What I agreed on was, Ronjay has a long way to go with his basketball career. Isnt it too early to judge him if he is of PBA quality? What I understood on Blue Knight's post, sinabi lang niya na ang imortante sa ngayon, ma-lead niya ang team sa championship.

We use our players? Teka. Para saan? Kami ba ang aawardan sa RMC for that championship crown? Our players like Ronjay, donned in those jerseys, are the ones who'd benefit from this not us. We are just spectators, cheering at the side for the glory of our Alma Mater and in support of our schoolmates.

well to this point i think he needs to improve his stuff and be more of a point guard kasi sa pba .....his height is for point guards....minsan naman off-night din sya....sure he scores a lot of points but there's a tendency na mas marami syang misses......

in the pba he won't get a lot of looks kaya he should be ready to play the point....if ever.....but i tell you now....he has the TALENT to be in the pba but like what i've said he should know how to play the point.....mahirap kasi adjustment biglaan......

Excuse me, but its not a loyalty issue. He wasn't recruited by the top schools in the UAAP because he's a "ballhog"(bakaw) player and he doesn't have the intellect to survive in a university.(Just like the case of Sunday Salvacion, DLSU player siya dapat eh kaso mahina ang ulo kaya doon na lang sa benilde)

but all the "cream of the crop" goes to Ateneo and LaSalle.

btw, you said you were on your last year in letran and you have a 10:30am class (lucky guy) I don't know if this makes sense but it's been bugging my mind, well since you know what goes around in Letran than I do, could you answer this. When I was in the first year may kaklase kaming C.A. na fourth year na lalake taking up FIL1, now I'm already in the 3rd year nakikita ko pa rin yung tao sa loob ng letran still studying, how come that's possible? Ang alam kung limit sa letran 5years max. In my case, 4 1/2 semesters lang limit daw namin.

anyway about dun sa question mo, possible *** may makikita kang student na nakita mo na nung 1st yr ka kasi pwdeng madami syang naiwan na subjects. ganyan din ako nung 1st yr ako may nakita akong 4th yr nun then ***** 4th yr na ako nakikita ko pa rin sya na nag-aaral pa rin. even *** ibang varsity players ganun din.... :D

may possibility din na kumukuha sya ng bagong course :D

i don't think so girl..in the first place,,hindi lang si ronjay ang gumagawa ng way para manalo ang team..kaya nga TEAM sila e.. the only problem is hindi pinagbibigyan yung ibang player na mabigyan ng break..pinapasok nga pero sandali lang..so most of the time si ronjay lang ng si ronjay ang pinapasok..lahat naman siguro sila magaling,,hindi naman sila makakapasa sa try-out kung hindi sila magaling dba?..wala naman "bida" or what sa isang team,,teamwork ang kailangan don..

one more thing..if you're just a frosh siguro hindi ka makakarelate dito..yung MVP sa squires last season which is oliver cua,,he's now a rookie of DLSU..pero hindi siya nag-stay sa letran..kahit nagmamaka-awa na ang letran na mag-stay sha sa letran at kahit anong course bibigay sknia pero ayaw niya pren..y?may point rin sha..dahil bakit pa nga naman sha papayag na mging KNIGHT at makuhang rookie sa seniors kung si ronjay at si ronjay lang ang bibigyan nila ng big break?!so mas maganda na sa DLSU ka na..at least kahit rookie sha nabibigyan sha ng break..unlike sa letran..that's the problem in the coaching stuff,,hindi nila mashado napapansin yung ibang players..nagfofocus sila sa iisang player..lahat sila magaling hindi lang gaano nabibigyan ng break..at may mga sugapa sa bola..

sana mag-champion na ang lc this season!!

Now, kung sakaling nag perimeter jumpshot si Ronjay or go straight to the hoop eh malamang makakuha siya ng 2 points or maka bait ng foul since magaling naman si Ronjay sa fishing foul (magpasabit) sa opposing team.
malas na nga si Enrile sa 3 points eh yun parin style niya.
In short, yung pagiging court general niya eh panis dahil wala siyang mahusay na decision making.
I don't care kung makapasok si RJ sa PBA ang mahala makapag pachampion siya at ma polish niya ang paglalaro dahil I know that "there is always a room for improvement".
BTW, halos lahat ng overtime game sa KNIGHTS napupunta ang huling halakhak.

Now we're talking! I share the exact sentiments. Even the players themselves get frustrated with how much the whole team is centered on Ronjay alone. I dont have anything against him personally. Pero marami talagang naging issues regarding the Letran Knights being an all-Enrile team. Our school is really obvious in building him up, which is good, pero pano naman *** ibang players who are left unnoticed? Gaya ng sinabi ni gummy, di lang si Cua ang nawala sa'tin because of this. Letran lost a number of good players who could have stayed but decided to join other clubs in hope for a better exposure.

Try to do researches Daisy_Letran, loyalty could be a factor but it's not all that. There is something wrong in the system.

It's funny how people think they know you in real life just by reading a two sentence post. LOL! Iba talaga ang makitid magisip na tao, kaya tuloy hindi umunlad Pilipinas.

Common knowledge na yan sa mga universities na nagrerecruit sa kanya(coaches,scouts,boses in the universities and colleges) before he entered benilde and college basketball fanatics. Just like in the previous PBA draft, the negative comment that analyst and coaches have to sunday is "does he have the capacity to follow the coach's instructions,etc" Search the net and old newspapers and you'll find the exact comment.

he comes after Cardona and Yeo in the rotation . . . so, if OJ Cua is fielded in a game - malalim na hugot yun sa bench . . . the scoring, experience and maturity kasi of Macmac and Joseph are the factors that Coach Franz considers in fielding these two . . . pero fellow rookie J-Shock Casio is also undersized for a two-guard, pero he can be a "twiner" - meaning, he can be both a point-guard and an off-guard . . . a little more seasoning and maturity he will make it in the player rotation - but, not this UAAP season . . .
