interesting question,
actually, this is how i started discovering my talent in hair art, i experimented with my own hair during the days i cursed my 'barbero' and 'parlor-stylist' when they would always end up not getting what i wanted in a hairstyle. fortunately enough, i was also lucky to have spent some time in japan and from there got my inspiration and informal training in japanese hair art. to date, i still cut my own hair and empathizes with people who want their hair done by me. it has been a year again since i visited pex at nakita kong buhay pa pala to. cutting your own hair is not that all difficult as long as you can close your eyes and imagine what you want to achieve, your concept of style. but cutting without inspiration is also empty so be careful. for those who want to see and appreciate the beauty of japanese hair cut, u can reach me here at kaikoism@yahoo.com or 0927-3271978 (kaiko).
any enthusiasts about japan here?? let us have a chat.

Hehe! I did. Hanggang shoulder buhok ko non eh. But I wanted to start anew. And I decided to begin with my hair. Inspired by the movie GI Jane - but no I didn't shave it all off. Ginupit ko. Boycut! Then pina-ayos ko na lang ulit sa tagagupit ko.
Then for a play, I had the writer of the play cut my bangs. She did a fantastic job and until now, now that she's one of my best friends, I let her do the honors of cutting my bangs.
