Have you heard the latest issue in San Beda? College of Arts and Sciences is planning to require the students to wear prescribed uniform.

What's your insights bout this one?

Are you in favor that San Beda will be like the other schools in the NCAA that require their students to wear uniforms?

I hope iwasan natin na pagsimulan ito ng pang-aasar sa ibang schools. Just concentrate to the topic.;)

NO TO UNIFORM. though i'm already in my senior year, concerned pa rin ako sa maaapektohan nitong move nila na ito.

I talked to our current SC President, he said a meeting of class presidents was held last night about this issue. He said the SC together with the support of CAS class presidents representing their respective sections will be making an official stand about this. Sana lang, wag sila pumayag.

Suggestion ko mas ok na color ang Blue Pants and White Polo parang yung sa St. Scho. Sana pati yung elementary gawin na ring blue eh nung grade school ako brown pants tapos patch na red eh mas ok kung lahat pareho.

I think i will be the first to disagree if yung suggestion mo na style and color ng uniform yung ipreprescribed sa min ng Admin. If that will happen,wala ng difference yung uniform ng San Beda High School sa magiging uniform ng College of Arts and Sciences Students. Blue pants and white polo barong kasi yung uniform ng High School sa min.

Pero i agree na dapat palitan from brown to blue yung color ng pants ng grade school kasi dumihin yung brown plus para magkapareho yung pants nila pagdating nila ng High School.

Para sa akin,di comfortable manood ng NCAA games sa RIZAL pag nakauniform. Kung yung nakacivilian nga mainit na, what if pa yung nakapolo and nakaslacks. Mas worst pa kung irequire ng Admin na yung uniform natin will be corporate attire.

advantages: "pantay-pantay", hindi mauubusan ng damit, identity?

disadvantages: hindi comfortable, corny, mainit, naka leather shoes

kung corporate attire: same as above saka: mukhan kang salesman!

The same thing happened during 1992 I think, when admin required CAS students to wear shirt with collar or round neck shirt as long as it is a SBC shirt.

A year after that, it was scrapped bec. of strong student government. The entire student community was against wearing prescribed attire. Besides, there's no proof claiming the connection between ones grade and his choosen attire. Signature campaign kayo.

kanina, nag pa survey ang SC bout this, asking us if we are favor of implementing the prescribe CAS uniform. YES or NO lang.

100% in our section are "NO!!"

the admin plans to be competitive with Ateneo, La Salle, UP, ad UA&P. ba't sila nga hindi na kailangan mag uniform, tayo pa ba ***.

saka hindi nmn required ng CHED un.

if ever pag nag uniform ang beda, parang ka-level natin ang.... (lam nyo nah). saka magmumukhang tayong middle class nyan or cheap.

sa class namin may tatlong nagvote ng YES. egocentric selfish priks. porque hindi affected ang seniors!


anyway, may nakausap akong admin kanina, whose name I won't mention and I prefer to classify. sabi nya, kaya daw may move na ganito, dahil hindi na ma-control ang pagsusuot ng mga babae ng mga "revealing" na damit. spaghetti straps and all. Sila rin naman ang gumawa ng problemang yan eh, afterall sino ba nagpush na maging co-ed ang beda?

Tsaka sana naman, kung gagawan nila ng paraan, magbigay na lang sila ng memo sa mga girls, wag yung buong bedan community nadadamay.

Kaya ko dito nilagay sa NCAA tong thread na ito kasi walang papansin dito pag sa Campus Chat or sa Academe nakalagay lalo na almost 80% ng Bedans here in PEx is really concentrating in replying here in d NCAA Tourney kasi asa taas ang team natin. I hope kapag nalipat to sa academe or sa campus chat, suportahan nyo pa rin to.

Napakaimportante yung stand natin sa issue ng implementation ng uniform policy. Lets be ONE in saying NO!!!!!

damn! *** minentioned ni asaluk_04 here and *** pinasurvey ng SC last thurday, i thought "on plan or proposal" pa lang un. when i read the The Bedan this morning, un *** "to wear na"

i'm hoping our fr. rector-pres would deny that proposal.

on the girls outfit, very strict naman ang securities dyan eh, but the problem is "nakakalusot" coz.....example the girl/s would wear spagetti strap or something.... and they're gona also wear jacket and then they gona remove it inside the campus.

dapat ang gawin dyan is....... if there is a girl/s who dont follows the dressing code of the OPSA, the professors have the rights to get their ID/'s and give it to the OPSA. that's only the simple way to do it.

look at the Ateneo and the UA&P. the girls there are simple or conservative when it comes to the outfit they having proper grooming. that's because of their school's policy.

and guys, nakakahalata na 'ko, and even before (during the entrance exam),na the girls would destroy our BEDAN traditions and the environment. since nang pumasok ang mga girls, seems na nag-iiba na ang san beda. and my prediction before is right. isnt it?

even our alma mater hym, instead of "boyhood" naging "childhood" na. the CORWEEK last July, when the Bedan communnity sung it (before the concert), the chorale member sung it on childhood but we shout it on "BOYHOOD"

i promised to myself NOT to fall in love or to cort the girls in Beda, instead sa mga tga AC, SSC, or MC na lang.

last saturday, on the meeting with the CAS parents, majority of the parents have agreed the implementation of the school uniform.

also, nung nagmimeeting ang mga CAS admin on the afternoon (after meeting with the parents), andun ang SC pero pinalabas sila.

alam na ba 'to ng ALUMNI?

sa dami-dami nmn kasi ng mga schools dito sa metro manila, eh kasi pinili pa nila ang san beda.

saka dahil sa mga pananamit nila, ayun, *** na implement ng school uniform.

I would like to thank the moderator for his/her support sa thread na ito kahit di sya masyadong related sa NCAA. This is our only way of communicating to our Bedan bros regarding this matter.

OPSA also distributed letters regarding their side on the issue that they are not yet submitting the proposal to father-rector yet.
