i remember when i was in highschool, mossimo was considered impressive by my classmates... as in pag naka-suot ka ng mossimo, sikat ka.
nyek, tarjay brand pala yun. bakit ang taas ng tingin dun?

If you're obsessed with brands than it doesn't show you're cool, it just shows what a wannabe you are. It's how you carry yourself. You may be decked from head to toe in brand names but if you can't carry yourself right, all the brand names won't make a difference.
But I have to be honest, I once thought St. Michael's socks were cool (and this was when I was still a naive 12 year old  ). Everyone in school was wearing them. But I never owned a pair. Sure I thought it was cool but I just didn't consider it practical to ask my parents to buy such an expensive pair of socks.
Looking back, I feel really glad I never followed the herd. I probably would never live it down since I'm pretty much gung-ho about my non-conformity.

Diesel. I liked the style they presented, not the brand. But the quality was way off, and the clothes sucked, didn't fit well, whether you were skinny or whatever.
Polo Sport stuff. The only thing I like about their clothes are their thin, one-color turtlenecks. Go with everything and make you look fabulously skinny. The rest, I'd just opt for something a bit more comfortable and individualistic for about half the price. Mango for example.

i also had this classmate na laging nagyayabang kasi mossimo yung mga shirts niya pag washday. When I got here sa states, sa Target lang pala nabibili ang Mossimo. Most of them dont even know the brand!

mostly naman ng "branded" dito sa pinas is not really that "branded" sa states... in other words, parang tapunan nalang tyo ng mga nilumaang damit...
katulad yung sabi ng mga people dito, slave labor ang nike, gap and banana rep... and then what are we doing to them? we support their brands... we buy stuff from them... tapos yung mossimo pala, tarjay brand! ngayon ko lang nalaman yun but i haven't really bought one...
to angeLdevin:
yung target ba na sinasabi mo, parang surplus lang dito sa pinas?
ang gusto ko lang sa diesel is their shoes, polo sport naman i've heard but it's expensive **** so i can't afford...
what do you guys think about CK, Gucci, Liz Claiborne and Lacoste?

MANGO
Magaling lang silang mag-market. I find the clothes overpriced, and some are extremely shoddy in quality. The only things I buy there now are their bags.

People say they are going shopping at "Tarjay" para French-sounding ang dating, pero yung Target sa kanto lang yan.

what's wrong with Target? i go to Target and Walmart and other such stores whenever i'm in the states. I find good bargains there. i also go to Old Navy bec. i love their jammies and flip-flops. i buy stuff not for it's brand. basta type ko, bibilhin ko. like gap jeans...they really fit me well. jologs na kung jologs :D

Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap (cool lang naman eh. I still shop at Gap). Polo Sport, & Nautica
Locally: Human (ugh.), Dickies (pinangangalandakan pa nila na si Avril Lavigne e nagsusuot ng Dickies, paki ko??? they have ugly clothes), Oxygen (although I have a couple of clothes I bought from them - again, the basis lang naman is the *cool* factor), Sub (overpriced clothes), Mossimo (same sentiments as everyone who don't like mossimo), Lee!, Jag! (clothes for skater punks and wannabes).
