I'm sure SWNW will be as great as PSY, if not better.

Don't really get to watch his soap...but the guy is a very intense actor, he has a certain flare that makes him stand out. I still think his best performance was in Tanging Yaman (well that was when I noticed him). Doesn't hurt the guy has oozing sex appeal.

Island of Dreams

This is where it all began¡Xthe magic, and the dream. On this remote island¡K I learned to laugh, to live¡K and for the first time¡K to feel.

It all started with a photograph¡K

We were on a boat, on our way to Corregidor, when fate intervened. She was leaning over the railings trying to reach for a photograph. I tried to help but instead, startled her into falling overboard. I cried for help but nobody was around and so I jumped in the water to save her.

It was a crazy thing to do¡K especially for someone like me who had never done a crazy thing in his life. But, in retrospect, she made me do a lot of crazy things.

None of the passengers or crew realized what had happened to us. And so, we drifted, in the middle of the sea with no land nor rescue in sight. And to make matters worse¡K a storm blew in. It could possibly have been our end.

But I guess we were not meant to die in the middle of the sea¡K but rather, spend a week¡K alone¡K on a deserted island.

You might think that being swept away on an island with a beautiful girl is sheer heaven. Well, it wasn¡¦t¡K at least not at first. We were always at odds with each other. We did things differently, with neither one giving in to the other. It was a battle of wits, a battle of the sexes.

I have never met a woman more stubborn than she was. Stuck on an island with no other person in sight and she still refused to give me her name. She was proud. She was complicated. She was¡K different.

Once, she caught a crab, but instead of eating it, she named it Sebastian and turned it into a pet. She would rather starve than eat that crab. She¡¦d talk to it more than she¡¦d talk to me. I couldn¡¦t blame her, I guess, because whenever we did, sparks would fly. And to be honest, I did provoke her a lot¡K I enjoyed making her angry. Because even when she was mad she still looked beautiful.

Later on she was stung by a sea urchin. It¡¦s funny, but I think that sea urchin brought us closer together. After all, how can you not be close to someone who has already peed on you?

Things changed after that. We began to talk to each other. I¡¦ve been educated by the best universities money has to offer. But on that island, she taught me all the things that the most brilliant professors could not teach.
She taught me that life is more than just breathing and working and eking out a form of existence. She taught me to embrace life to its fullest¡K to appreciate the smallest things¡K to see the world not for its defects but for its possibilities. She taught me how to laugh. She taught me how to live.

I miss those moments, when we would just sit by the fire, listen to the sea, and talk quietly. On that island, I was content. I was at peace. I was¡K happy.

I wish we could have stayed on that island forever. But it was not to be. We were found and the dream was over.

I wish I could see her again. That woman who challenged me. That woman who cared for me so gently and patiently when I got hurt and cooked her pet crab so I¡¦d have something to eat.

I wish I could be with her again, beside her¡K talking about everything and nothing. Because in truth, though I¡¦m back in my world¡KI am more lost now, than when we were on that island.

The dream may be over but she will never be forgotten. And though I don¡¦t even know her name, she will always be here, in my heart.

I jumped in the water to save her¡K but instead, she was the one who saved me.

;) Yeah, a movie like that would really be great. I believe they are two of ABS CBN's pride and most important stars. Jericho is good as Piolo though I think they have different styles in acting. Kahit medyo may pagka-corny yung SWNW, I think in time, it will improve yun nga lang sana they would keep it a light drama lang and not as heavy as PSY. Yung tipong as good as Kay Tagal pero light.

Jericho is one of the best young actors around. I agree that what he needs is a good break and to get away from the loveteam (sorry). He also needs a better Talent Center handler, I don't think his current handler is doing a good job.

Dekada 70 was suppose to be his movie pero he was doing Forevermore kaya sayang. I know he probably regreted that decision dahil naka grandslam si Piolo in that role. I'm really intrigued by Moral, dahil magaling ang cast and director. I know he will do very well, and maybe this will be his time to shine and to win awards.

I know he is a good actor dahil mahilig siyang mag-improvise, when he knows that the scene is not working out, he'll spice it up. He's also very sharp and quick on his feet kaya magaling siyang mag-comeback.

Moral might be the big break he is looking for.

Sa natatandaan ko hindi niya tinanggap ang Dekada 70 dahil sa abala siya sa PSY. Sayang talaga at hindi sa kanya napunta ang role na yun. Hindi sa minamaliit ko ang mga pelikulang tinanggihan niya pero siguro dahil na rin sa advise ng manager niya, hindi itong mga pelikulang ito ang magtataas sa kanyang kinalalagyan bilang aktor. Baka sunggaban niya lahat ng offers sa kanya, magaya siya sa iba na puro flops naman kahit sandamukal ang mga pelikula. Ito ang isa sa mga bagay na binanggit niya sa aming grupo back in April when we had a Sunday brunch with him in San Diego. Hindi siya nagmamadali. Pana panahon lang yan. Sobrang galing niya para hindi siya mabigyan ng magandang projects that would elevate his status sa movie industry. His time will come.... :)

Jericho Rosales--- This guy is a very intense actor,and yes I agree that his acting skills are a bit untapped. he can give you goosebumps when it comes to his gripping performances. He just needs to know his limitations because sometimes he can go a bit overboard. But I can definitely see this guy being the next generation's leading man ala the new Richard Gomez. apart from the loveteam curse.

He's got the smoldering Pinoy look--- tall,dark and handsome... and not to mention oozing sex appeal. IMHO,He's got the qualities to make it big and it's a shame if he won't get there just because of the guy's lovelife. Whatever it is. I wish him luck.

An old friend of mine is a kababata of Jericho and she told me he's really a nice person and he's been through a lot in his life. I have to agree with the concensus here, I've been drooling over Jericho Rosales ever since I saw his intensity in Tanging Yaman and I think he has come a very long way. There's something so boy-next-door about him (almost child-like) yet sooo seductive at the same time. Gifted with Pinoy good looks, charm and talent. My only problem with him is he goes a bit overboard in his acting; when it comes to Jericho, sometimes being subtle has more impact than crying his eyes out and screaming his lungs out. In my opinion lang naman.

I think the bashing has been a bit unfair. Maybe he just speaks his mind. whatever it is... I think in the end it is his personal life and as they said it's his business. It's unfair to strip him of his sheer talent over the choices he makes (which is his every right naman) he does not owe the public anything. It's his life. As long as he entertains us, it's all good.

I just wish they give more depth in the SWNW character... besides being your token trophy leading man. He deserves so much better than that.

I know he's capable of many things, he just needs to be given a chance.

Kahit pinipigilan akong magsalita ng mga kamag-anak ni Jericho ay malaman ng publiko kung anong klaseng artista ang hinahangaan nila. Mabait sa telebisyon, pero sa panganay niya ay napakalupit. Sa ngayon, maniwala man ang tao o hindi sa akin dahil hindi naman ako artista ay ang Diyos na ang bahala. Dadalhin ko si Junior sa Amerika at sana pagpalain din ako ng Diyos dahil sa pag-aalagang iaalay ko para sa matalik kong kaibigan na si Mitch at Bonjing na kung tutuusin ay hindi ko na obligasyon.

Sana ay huwag nang i-deny ni Jericho, Tito Bong at nung ibang kamag-anak niya na may panganay si Jericho na Junior sa Bicol. Sana, lumambot na ang puso nila at patawarin din ako ni Mitch dahil ibinulgar ko ang lihim nila ni Jericho. Sana maintindihan ng ibang anak at asawa ni Bonjing.

Parating ngayong Sabado, February 28 galing Amerika ang aming e-mail sender na gumamit ng alyas na Concerned Man na siyang nagbulgar na may isa pa umanong anak na itinatago ang batang aktor na si Jericho Rosales sa Bicol na nagngangalang Junior at ito’y anak niya umano sa kababatang si Mitch na sumakabilang buhay nung nakaraang Oktubre.

Sisimulan pa lamang sana namin ang pagsulat ng kolum na ito nang muli kaming makatanggap ng e-mail mula sa concerned man na nagpakilalang si Caloy, kababata umano ni Jericho at yumaong kasintahan nitong si Mitch.

Narito ang buod ng kanyang ipinadalang e-mail sa amin: "Alam na ni Jericho kung sino ako dahil kababata ko siya. Uhugin pa kaming dalawa noon. Caloy ang palayaw ko. Marami na akong natanggap na threats sa e-mail ko at alam ko na galing `yun sa mga kapamilya ni Jericho. Sa palagay ko ay wala talagang pag-asang kilalanin ni Bonjing (Jericho) si Junior dahil ayaw talaga niya, base sa mga e-mail na natatanggap ko. If I may quote: "Hoy! Caloy, alam namin na ikaw yan. Tigilan mo na si Bonjing. Magpakayaman ka na lang sa Amerika! Paano naman gaganahang kilalanin yang bata e galisin at di kamukha ni Bonjing? Sige dalhin mo na lang yan sa Amerika para wala nang manggulo dito.

May pamilya na si Bonjing ngayon at huwag mo nang guluhin. Maawa ka sa ibang mga anak niyang nasasaktan at pati doon sa ka-live in niya. Caloy, isusumbong kita sa nanay mo. Baka mabugbog ka ni Mang Bong (ama ni Jericho) kapag tumapak ka doon sa Bicol dahil sa kadaldalan mo. MARAMI ang nadismaya sa tsismis na kumakalat tungkol kay Jericho Rosales at kung may katotohanan ito, malamang na sa kangkungan damputin ang aktor.

Kumakalat kasi ang tsika ngayon na muling nabuntis ni Jericho ang babaing naanakan niya na kinasuhan pa siya para sa child support.

Bali-balita lamang ito subalit malaki ang magiging epekto nito sa muling binubuong tambalan nila ni Angelika dela Cruz.

Nawala ang kilig factor sa tambalan nila ni Kristine Hermosa nang mabuking na break na sila at mayroon ng bagong babae sa buhay ng aktor.

Okay lang na mayroong Cindy Kurleto si Echo dahil di naman visible na lagi silang magkasama kaya walang problema sa mga tagahanga nila ni Angelika ang sitwasyon.

Ngayong binibuild-up uli sila ni Angelika at may mga ganitong balita di kaya tabangan na ang mga fans kay Echo? Sa parte naman ni Angelika, walang masyadong problema dahil balita ring magkakaroon sila ni Piolo Pascual ng isang teleserye at who knows baka sila na ang i-build-up.

Tahimik lamang ang kampo ni Jericho. Wala silang kinukumpirmang anuman pero ang tsika ay patuloy na kumakalat. Marahil ay dapat din nilang pagtuunan ng pansin ang mga bagay na ito dahil sa maaaring maging epekto nito sa career ng aktor. Sayang, mahusay pa namang artista si Echo at malaki ang tsansa niya na mapabilang sa hanay ng ating mahuhusay na bituin.

Samantala cool lang si Angelika sa tsikang ito at handa pa rin siyang ituloy anumang trabaho ang ibigay sa kanila ni Echo dahil nagkakaunawaan naman sila bilang magkaibigan at magkatrabaho.
