People graduating this year...

How do you guys feel? Optimistic and excited ba cause you'll finally be going out of the academe? Confident about your credentials and the probability of your getting a great job? Or scared about the future after university life?

Me, I'm just really scared. Wala lang, I'm nowhere near the bottom of our batch I suppose, but nowhere near the top either. :( Parang angsama ng feeling if you're mediocre lang, and the competition for limited jobs is too fierce...

Well, what about you guys? Share those feelings! :)

All I can say is that I'm extremely happy right now :D

I got a job offer on the day I received my course cards on my last term last month and I'm working already with functions I never expected to have on my first job :)

On a more serious note though, I would just like to share that being good does not guarantee you a job because even if you are one of the best, there are still so many ways in which things could go against you. This is where prayers come in.

Just remember... without God's grace, you will be nothing.

In my case (and I'm NOT implying that I'm one of the best), I got a little too confident when I was told to take my medical exams already. Because of an erroneous diagnosis, I almost didn't get into my company.

Fortunately, God wanted me to have this one and so here I am :) In fact, the delay that was caused by the medical ordeal turned out to be just one of God's ways of revealing certain things to me.

Anyway, I wish you all the best in looking for a job. Don't look so much at your shortcomings; instead, look at the things you are good at and the things you can improve on.

Finally, trust in the Lord and do not despair because he will give you what's best for you in the end :)

yeah. but then again, what's the point of studying philosophy without having a thesis to present :p
