i think, if UP wants to look for worthy rivals, it should do so in places like the US and europe. ;)

ey cutegirl, do you have the complete list of topnotchers? I have a lot of orgmates who took the exam. Yeah, they are included in the 46/46 passers of UP Diliman.
Bout that somebody who failed. We really cannot figure out who that person is. All we know is that only 8 and not 9 took the board exam. So it must have been the mistake of the PRC or the person who claimed that he is from UP diliman. Peace!

about dun sa board exam last year na 8 out of 9 ang passing ng UP DILIMAN, ang alam ko is nagkaron ng problem about sa citizenship nung isa sa mga examiners. di ko lang alam kung naayos na yun ngayon. pero passing naman yata ang score niya, yun nga lang may problema sa requirements so hindi siya nabigyan ng license. so technically, di pa rin natin masasabi na bumagsak siya.

About the May CE Board Exam.. I am among those who took the exam and there's really one from UP who failed. They just don't want to disclose the person, this one is according to one of the UP students who took the board who apparently became my friend , since its a major set back for UP. For whatever reason, they don't really want to tell.

It's one subject na ayaw pag-usapan talaga. Sa history ng UP CE kasi, iilan pa lang yata ang bumabagsak sa board. Matindi talaga ang pressure sa mga CE board takers ng UP. Isipin mo, kung sumabit ka, malamang mag-isa ka lang. Tindi!

I have several friends who graduated BSCE from UP-Diliman and are now pusuing further studies at Tokyo University. Noriel Tiglao, the twin brother of Sir Nestor Tiglao of EEE Dept is among those who are doing well at Tokyo U. They were just ordinary grads of UP and yet they are doing extremely well at Tokyo.

I think Noriel Tiglao is a faculty member of the National Center of Transportation Studies. Yes, they are very good teachers in transportation engineering. Most of the faculty members of NCTS had their MS and PhDs at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and other Japanese universities.

Bumalik na pala si Noriel from Tokyo. Kailan lang? MS and PhD kasi yung batch nila doon sa University of Tokyo. 30 sila during his time and only 7 went to Tokyo Institute of Technology.

well, i'm a actually done with my transportation engineering series but some of my classmates are taking up a graduate course in transportation planning and economy under him. he's good naman daw but the subject is totally boring. it's similar to CE 22 (engg economy).
