to serve humanity! --> ha!ha!ha! charing!
honestly speaking, i was supposed to go to the US for PT practice na. unfortunately, the admin of the rehab center wants me to have a masterals degree first before they could accept me in as 1 of their staff. weighing masterals degree vs. medicine, i chose medicine for the ff reasons:
1. i wont get to be very far from my family,
2. less expensive compared to masterals,
3. walang school na nag-o-offer ng masterals dito sa pinas (meron nga, UP but mahirap makapasok, UST meron na but it's only offered to the staff of coll of rehab sci as of now)
i feel that i could do more, lalo na neuro or orthopedic field. i also wanna perform in all aspects of management -- conservative, pharmacological, non-pharmacological, surgical...

honestly, i don't know the exact reason pero it seems to be a fullfillment to my childhod dream.......i respect doctors s much especially now na i'm in med na ....grabe ang hirap ng pinagdaanan nila. well siguro what attracted me most sa medicine is the profession itself...... where could you see a profession na so humane di ba? sometimes its pure charity yet that's the THING that makes it all worth it ;) its worth the sacrifice......once you see people who needs your help.....

hi! for people who are already in medschool, pwedeng magtanong? This concerns applying to medschool for more "mature" students. A friend is seriously considering of going to med school. She has the intellect (high grades), the money, the personality, lots of dreams and right reasons to become a doctor. Major problem is she's a bit older na kasi she got an MS degree already and worked for several years.
So the question is: do you have classmates or have you heard of "non-traditional" students going to medschool?
I believe many schools have age restrictions in their admission policies, but she wants to know what her chances of being accepted, or if old students are accepted at all. tanx.
