I just got back from UP.

GawdDAMN exam. Whew.

Grabeh!!! Hirap ng LAE!!! Kate-take ko rin lang kanina. Yung Qualitative Reasoning, kalahati lang natapos ko. So yung natira, hinulaan ko n lang. Grabe, kulang n kulang talaga sa oras!!! samantalang yng abstract reasoning naman, nakakasakit ng ulo!!! Ilang minuto ko ng tinititigan yung figure, di ko p rin makuha ang sagot!!! Hanapin daw ang "naiiba", eh lahat naman sila magkakaiba, no!!!
Well, mejo (as far as i can sya) nakabawi naman ako sa essay...sana yun n lang ang maging basis ng LAE scores. :)
Nainis lang ako nung makita ko yung mga kasabayan kong ang tatanda na. Sympre, unfair naman yun sa aming graduating p lang. Mas maraming alam yung mga yun experience-wise no! Comment ko lang. Sana, next time, eh mas bigyan nmn ng priority yung mga first timers sa LAE. Kng pare-pareho lang ang exam n ibibigay sa mga second-timers eh sympre, unfair naman yun para sa mga kukuha pa lang. Baka nga mas malaki pa ang ratio ng mga 2nd timers na pumasa kesa sa first timers eh! Well, commnt lang po yun.

1. the lae does not base your qualifications on your experiences, or on the amount of information you can spew out on an essay topic which just happens to be your field of expertise.
2. the lae tests how you analyze the different problems. and with regard to the essay test, it tests your essay construction, grammar, coherence, and logic. I repeat, it does not test how much information you can say about the essay topic, which means there will be no premium on those "matatanda" who, as to be expected, will be very conversant on a wider range of essay topics.
3. walang priority na binibigay sa 2nd takers, 3rd takers, 1st takers, it does not matter how many times you've taken the test. what matters is that you score higher than the rest so that you can get yourself that slot. the only advantage of the 2nd takers is that they at least know what to expect.
