a pair of jeans at a hefty tag price... Almost P8000 to be exact... said to be the best jeans on earth... worth it?

yeah I saw them.
I think that it's not worth it. You can buy tons of other jeans with good labels rather than just one pair of Seven jeans.Besides, you're going to wear those pair of jeans as you would any other, so there's really nothing special about that. The best jeans thing is really subjective.

I dont think so. I dont see the reason why its priced like that. I'd settle for gap, dkny, ck for style and comfort. I also love mossimo's fit. :D

If it's within your means and won't give you any guilty feeling afterwards, then go ahead and give yourself the treat.

If you have 8000 to spare, and you don't mind spending it, then go ahead. I have to tell you though, the connotation "best jeans on earth" is misleading.

Hey violet18, if you're really interested, go look for Seven jeans
at Souk, 2/F Crescent 21 San Miguel Ave, Ortigas Ctr or at Wish
in 1/L Shang Makati Hotel.:)

Actually, parepareho lang naman ang jeans, nagkakaiba lang sa tela at sa fit. P8000 makakabili ka na ng 4 na Guess Jeans e. Di rin naman mapapansin kung anong brand ang suot mo.

I bought my first pair of Seven Jeans and, whilst they are a nice cut and fit, I still prefer the new Levi's low rise cuts (which are incidentally around $100 cheaper). But if you like them and can afford them, why not?

What about Earl Jeans?
The brainchild of former television and film stylist Suzanne Costas Freiwald, Earl Jean was created in 1996...out of pure necessity. The Los Angeles based Costas Freiwald, who for years had been tailoring her own vintage denim, found herself in a bind when her favorite jeans were stolen from the local laundromat. It was then that her then boyfriend and now husband encouraged her to design the low slung, slim fitting jeans she had always loved. The result, Earl Jean's style #55, created an immediate sensation amongst her friends. Soon a buzz began spreading throughout the fashion industry.

gosh i was just about to post a similar subject. i myself am wondering if EARL/SEVEN jeans are worth it. i was so determined to buy SEVEN last week but wasn't aware that SOUK closes early on Saturdays. Hmm, maybe that was a sign?! haha. I'm a jeans freak but P7000 to P8000 for a pair is a bit too much. HOWEVER, if the fit's great, i might just be tempted to buy one. your posts make it harder for me to decide!!! =) Has anyone tried Levi's Red TAb? SOUK carries that too. Is the cut low rise too? hmmm.....

Yes, Cosmo, 'Twas a sign! But if you really really want em, then
persevere hehe. Are you tall, then it's definitely a good buy. Not
for me, though coz I'm petite. With that price tag, ayoko nga pa-alter yun! :D

I like the Levi's low rise range...my favourite cut is the 558 in dirty denim and diesel gray fade.

i've been a fan of seven jeans for over a year now and i love all 5 pairs of sevens i have :) my first pair was around 95 USD..that would be just around 5000 pesos right??? there's this one pair of sevens i have that everybody loves but i dont think they have it here in manila..neither wish nor souk carries it. i spoke with the owner of souk and she told me she was bringing in habitual jeans..the newest rage in NY. if you thought earls or sevens are bad...wait for habitual or lagerfeld gallery and u guys are going to cry.

my sister is actually a big fan of seven jeans............she owns about 9 pairs and a mini skirt also......i only own a pair and they r worth every penny i paid for.......super ganda ng fit and so comfy!! im jealous nga na my sis has so much but she makes more money than i do! and she also travels a lot so she has the advantage of checking out the latest pairs! hehe....... but now the newest rage in LA is PAPER DENIM & CLOTH .........another brand of jeans which has amazing fit and washes....my sis owns a pir but unfortunately i dont..:(

You have to be thin as a rail for the jeans to look good. For the average fashionista wannabe with a less-than-perfect body it isn't worth the expense to look like a cow (jeans the LEAST flattering kind of pants).

jack-habitual has one of the best washes and they're not your standard bum-showing jeans. and yes, lagerfeld gallery is designed by karl lagerfeld for diesel
hmm i think sevens are more forgiving when it comes to fit than say, earl or paper denim. sevens give a flattering fit from kate moss types to JLo types.....as for earl and paper, you have to be rail thin and model tall. paper denim is available at MIX greenbelt 3.

I just bought my first pair of Seven jeans last Saturday! I bought it at MIX Robinson's Galleria. It costs 6700 but they gave me a 10% discount so i paid 6030 "lang". I'm in love w/ the fit and the shade is nice. If you have a copy of the Cosmo mag w/ Katie Holmes on the cover, that's the exact pair i bought. hihi =) Frankie B. jeans are nice din!! I'm gonna save up for that one too!

was about to suggest that!!! the MIX jeans bar at the galleria is cheaper than SOUK or Wish when it comes to sevens.

i am very much a jean person but i don't think i'll spend that much money for a pair of jeans.
i haven't tried seven yet, siguro if they are on sale i might consider buying one. i got my very first pair of earl on sale for $40 bucks originally $137. typically, i'd pay $30 the most for jeans but i'd say that extra 10 bucks was worth it. the fit was nice. one thing i noticed though that the earl jeans has different sizing. i mean, like a size a 6/8 is a size 29 on earl. at first, that kind of threw me off.

If you have money to burn, go ahead.
But I don't. So I'm sticking with lower-priced brands that, well, come close.
And yeah. I don't think Seven has my size. :( Di bale, pag sexy na ko, baka mayaman na din ako nun.

i answered my own question... i finally got my pair of seven jeans, sa mix galleria. i got the mediterranean stretch. i really love the fit. it really flatters your legs, thighs, hips, etc. so feeling ko nakakapayat talaga tingnan. well, im convinced it is worth it.
mix galleria only carries seven, joe's jeans, paper denim and cloth and jill stuart. wala atang earl.
cant wait to get a second pair, pera na lang ang kulang. :)

my_duh_ about your question pala. mahaba kasi yung length ng seven, at 5'6" you might need to have it altered. pero ako nanghihinayang talaga ako paputulan, so i hemmed it na lang. kasi i read somewhere na may possibility na it might shrink after a few washes. so ill wait for it to shrink na lang muna bfore i have it cut baka kasi maging bitin pa pag pinaputol ko. also if you want to know about seven jeans, visit www.virtualrunway.com, click on style secrets by anna faye. lalo kang macoconvince.

i think it really depends on the person. i mean, if you can afford it then why not diba? i've got a pair of seven jeans and also paper denim and cloth (pinabili ko lang sa dad ko nung nasa US sya). i love them both! so, i'm saving money to buy myself another pair of sevens.
