fort ilocandia experiences.

hi people. my family and i are planning to go to ilocos next year. would like to know any insights about going there.
accomodations (cheap), sights (pagudpud, vigan, laoag etc.) and how to get there, activities (for family and adventure enthusiasts), food (restaurants). even an itenerary would be well appreciated. please include the costs so that i could plan a budget. thanks!

You mean Ilocandia, not Fort Ilocandia, coz it is a hotel, a five star hotel. Marami ng galing ng Ilocos dito, at sila na ang bahalang mag-share sa iyo...

ohh yes. fort ilocandia. this is the former wedding reception of irene marcos during the early 80's.

ang ganda ng hotel na ito. ngayon yata ay chinese na ang may-ari nito. obvious naman kasi madami chinese pumupunta dito.

sarap pa ng food nila..

Nanggaling na ako dun with my wife and it's worth a trip, hindi ko na ime-mention na talagang super sarap nang food nila dun. Here's my suggestion to you if ever your plan push through:

1. go out.......savor the ilocandia atmosphere!!!

2. if permits.....go out in the sand dunes.....sarap dun ibang klase lalo na kung may dala kang 4 wheel drive. Unique yung lugar na yon....wala kang makikita sa ibang lugar dito sa pinas.

3. try local delicacies.....lutong ilokano......masarap silang magluto dun.

4. pasyal ka sa loag city especially sa ilocandia museum.

5. pasyal ka sa batac....bayan ni maco.....kung nandun pa siya.

6. visit the paoay church.

7. visit the "acrobatic church" somewhere in outside the city.

8. try the ilocos biscotsio....

9. THE BEST PART IS........try visit the very old LIGHTHOUSE in burgos (on the way to pagugpud).....authentic yung light house na yun....wala pang renovation na ginawa dun since 1892. Try to climb up to the light bulb itself.....you'll have a panoramic view of the surroundings...

10. If permits.....try to visit the wind farm of PNOC there at burgos....ewan ko lang kung tapos na, ganda din dun.

11. I don't know....try to confirm also kung yung soil composition nang ilocos eh galing sa volcanic lava....observe ko lang....kung may inclination ka lang sa geology hehehehe!!!!

12. Visit Pagudpud......not necessarily the SAUD Beach......hanap ka nang place na nature na nature......and visit the last LIGHTHOUSE of LUZON somewhere in the area.....

13. When your in pagudpud.....do the boat ride......nice experience kund di ka takot sa dagat.........

14. THE REST......U must discover!!!!!i-post mo lang dito!
