Anong masasabi nyo sa performance ng Mapua sa Cheer Boom Bah???

Anong masasabi nyo sa performance ng mapua tech cheering squad sa Cheer Boom Bah ng MTB last Saturday (Oct 26, 2002)?? sa tingin nyo ba maganda ba yun performance nila?? pagpalagay natin na na-perfect nila yun pangalawang stunt na hindi nagawa at nasalo ng mabuti yun pag twist ng babae?? maganda ba yun effect ng mga "GININTUANG PAKPAK" nila?? anong gustong i-suggest at i-post nyo. kasi kung ako maganda yun stunt lalo na yun huli na may humihiga na babae sa pyramid nila kaya lang yun isang babae na nakapatong sa babae na nakahiga sa pyramid sa right side e ang pangit ng pagka-execute nya kse nakatuwad sya. pero ok naman. yun mga "GININTUANG FLAGS" mas maganda sana kung wala pero ok rin kung meron. yan e kung maayos na-execute yun paggalaw ng mga flags. sana hindi kayo gumamit ng tela na masyadong manipis lalo na kung sa outdoor nyo ito gagamitin kse ang pangit ng effec. pano hinahangin yun mga flags nyo. hindi nakikita yun ganda ng mga formation kung meron man. atsaka parang ang bigat ata ng stick na ginamit dun sa flag nyo kaya nahihirapan yun mga babae nyo na i-execute na maayos yang mga flags na yan. sana kinonsider nyo muna yun mga factors na makakaapekto sa paggamit ng flag na yan like yun weather at yun weight. atsaka yun pakpak nyo e mukhang maiksi ata ang pagkakagawa. kasi kapag ibinababa na yun babae nung simula ng pyramid nyo e ang pangit ng bagsak ng pakpak. then, ok naman yun choreography ng mga babae nyo hindi naman sya pangit. pero sa likod yun mga boys parang ang gulong tignan. sana magkaroon ng flow at maayos na transition papuntang formation at hindi yung kumakaripas sa takbo maganda yun stunt nyo! kayo lang ang nakakagawa nyan sa ngayon sa lahat ng napanood ko sa buhay ko na cheering competition. tinalo nyo pa yun mga stunt ng UAAP. sana mag-improve pa kahit na napaka DAREDEVIL ng mga stunt nyo! :D improve nyo yun choreography nyo sa dancing. dun na lang kayo may problema pa. magkaroon sana kasi kayo ng theme kapag sumasayaw para naman may dating at kakaiba d ba?? yun lang at sana mamayagpag pa ang pag-unlad ng mapua tech cheering squad para naman ganahan kme mga estudyante ng mapua kapag nanonood. para naman meron kaming ipagmalaki.sana hindi na PANG - EAT BULAGA na routine angf gagawin nyo ha!!! EXPECT KO A NEW AND FRESH MAPUA TECH CHEERING SQUAD. Improve!!! Gudluck!!! Pagpalain kayo ng Panginoon!!!

Actually their pretty ok? there kaso di standout yung stunts and ok lang yun intro kaso medyo outdated nga lang yung style ***'s strucking is the gold color nga lang! niwiez their great na din!

so di ka ba satisfied sa performance nila?? di stand out yun stunt ba kamo?? d ***** mo lang na-appreciate kasi sa TV mo lang napanood. e pangit kasi yun kuha sa TV. pero kung nandun ka mismo ***** sa site probably ma papa bilib ka. kasi sila lang nakita ko na pumipitik talaga yun babae pag tinoss sya. about sa intro, what do u mean "outdated yun style nila"? alin ba yun outdated dun?? ynu pyramid, routine, or yun mga props?? ayaw mo ba nung gold nilang wings na props?? pangit bang tignan??

I hope u won't take this against me but I have seen Mapua Cheering team's performance a lot of time during games & school's pep rally even in Mapua's even..I can say nga that they are the best in the NCAA league yun nga lang medyo funny yung golden wings nla yun nga lang noticeable kc kakaiba and yun nga yung mga stunts nla have been done by so many schools b4..And they have been performing those stunts evry NCAA games...Sana they should have a new one diba? Kulang din ng mga floor routine! Bat in fairness they're good nga lang may kulang pa din!

thank you for your reply ha. pero sa pagkakaalam ko sa panonood ko rin sa kanila even in mapua, e bago lahat yun pyramid na yun lalo na yun last part na may humihiga yun babae.sila pa lang ang gumagawa nun sa lahat na napanood kong cheering competition.yun stunt naman e talagang common na yun kahit saan pero yun style nila in my observation e mas unique compared to others kasi may dating yung pitik ng girls nila.lalo na yun tinoss tapos nag-around the world.sila pa lang gumagawa nun.at ginagaya sila ng ibang skul accrdg to my friend. yun wings naman na yun i guess e pakulo lang ata nila yun since cardinals naman tyo d ba?? well, competition naman yan e, kaya ok lahat kahit ulitin nila yun nagawa nila sa ncaa half time.even uaap school's e ganun din naman ang ginagawa eh.nag-rerecycle lang sila ng mga routine nila, stunts and the usual pyramids. then yun mga floor routine na sinasabi mo e anong ibig mong sabihin dun?? kailangan sumayaw lahat or magakroon din ng routine na nakahiga sila tapos sa sasayaw?? so d ka satisfied sa floor routine ng mga girls natin??e sa pagkakaalam ko e kaya d masyado sumayaw yun mga boys kasi they are the one lifting the girls in the pyramids and tosses. kung mapapansin mo sa likuran e tuloy tuloy yung pyramid and stunt nila. madami silang ginawa kasi raw sbe sa akin ang mtb daw e tumitingin daw sa stunts at d masyado sa sayaw. kaya tuloy sa tingin mo kaya nanalo yun ccp d ba dahil na rin sa stunts and pyramids nila?? mas marami mas malaki ang chance na manalo. i guess tama ako.

Hindi kc that noticeable yung mga bago nilang stunts kasi most of the stunts they did were as u say...recycled like those with separated pyramids na may 1 girl lang sa taas changing stunts lang..Tapos na other stunts like the falling pyramid sa sides was done by UST way back. I get ur point with the wing as a representation of the cardinals. Yun nga lang na costume should have represented another theme & gets to perform it in relation to that oki! The floor routine that I was telling involves lying on the ground, crawls, bridges and the likes...Guys should have illustrated another stunt na all guys & they should have a portion na the guys do the dances too...But as I told you Mapua CHeer troup is good nga but still they could alwways improve on something...By the way I'm not from Mapua..I'm a graduate of UST...I just watch the NCAA games bcoz my bf plays for ur school...And I had fun watching the games & so is ur cheering team..Hope Mapuans don't get offended on this but as I said u've done pretty well

hi, gusto ko lang pong inform kyo sa mga nangyari sa mtb. Kse po yung mga sayaw namin konti lang yung iniba namin dun yun ** yung sayaw namin nung elimination round pa lang. kung makikita nyo parehas yung gnagawa ng sayaw sa stunt, ex kung ni lift yung girl na naka heel strech, yung mga dancers namin naka heel strech **. d po namin expected na magkakamali kme sa stunts kse nung technical rehearsal namin wala kmeng mali, nung una nga sumama pa loob namin pro ang inisip na lang namin na meron pa next time. yun lang pro fyi yung mga stunts po namin d ko po cnasabi na original yun pro ang alam po namin sa amin nanggaling yung idea kung papaano po namin gagawin yung stunt na yun. pro yung iba po ** yun ** yung mga stunts na gnawa namin sa psc (phil sports comm). Thanks for your comments at least naaappreciate nyo po yung hirap namin. and we promise to give you all a good routines next season. ang balita nga namin at least 15 person na ang pwedeng mag half-time, *** expect nyo na makakagawa na *** ng magandang stunt during half time

red_bianca, I know the field there at Marikina..like hello kahit *** ako that day alam ko kasi I usually go there for several events anyway you really don't get me...Not that I'm comparing them to my school alone kc there are other schools na magaling din naman and it's just that SDT is one of the pioneer when it comes to this and yes they had danced on UST football field on a a rainy day and even under the sun *** i know *** capacity nila.Ya nga my point of view with Mapua's performance in MTB is the way I see it yun nga lang kc we're expecting big from them. Mistakes are unavoidable I know that but there's always mga pangcover-up for that, if ur a cheering competition avid watcher u'llknow that not just from UST but UP,ADAMSON, & UE had those. Wag sana sasama ang loob mo pero as I said Mapua did good enough.

d naman sumasama loob ko, imjust clearing out things and just to know opinions from other people like you. anyways, so alam mo ang field sa marikina.d kaya mahirap sumayaw dun ng nakahiga??? as you suggested na dapat e mag floor routine???! d ba dapat i-consider din natin yun mga factors like yun venue kung indoor ba o outdoor. so kung outdoor dapat walang higa giga crawling step dun kasi mahirap gumalaw.like yun napanood ko nung elimination round nila sa pampanga sa expo pilipino, e kung hihiga ka dun e sasakit likod mo o baka magkagalos ka o mapaso ka kasi brick yun floor. sa marikina naman mahirap din kasi kung hihiga ka doon makati, baka mamaya kung anu-anong insekto ang dumapo sa iyo.isa pa yun friend ko nga e nagkaroon sya ng skin rashes after all that exhausting rehearsal and routine. so mahirap talaga.e *** gsto mo ba sumayaw ng nakahiga at gumagapang sa kalsada???sa damuhan?? siguro naman ayaw mo rin d ba???kse mahirap nga. tpos sabe mo pa you're not alone comparing the mapua cheering squad to your cheering squad e pep squad nga lang ang lagi mong binabanggit e. tapos, i want to point this out about what you said on your past messages, sabi mo na ginawa na ng SDT yun pyramid na falling on the side. what do u mean by that??? can u describe it further??? ah ok the stunt I'm talking about is the pyramid wherein they throw two girls at both sides then the girl at the middle will catch them..They have a term for that I'l ask my friends in the SDT about that. I'm not saying naman na dumapa or gumapang sila dun pero there are some floor routines nga thay they could do naman they could sit down naman siguro dun diba? or do bridges! sencia ka na kc we had our cheering competition there b4 na kaya I know kung ano puede gawin dun sa field na un eh... Kung brix naman eh alam ko namn na di puede dumapa dun eh hawakan nga lang yung floorings will harm you kc super heat absorber yun noh. I don't down ur school they're actually good but as I said lang puede pang improve even other squads improves evrytime naman diba kc maaaout-date sila & try consulting ESPN sites & american cheering they help...By the way Ur Bianca talaga diba? I think I know you! Are u a friend of Eunice? Ur fr Mapua intramuros diba?

hey shelly, ur from UST right??? so kasama ka sa cheering squad ng UST?? am i right??? thanks for the reply ha. yup im bianca and i know Eunice, but im not the bianca ur thinking of. im from Mapua Intramuros. *** is ur real name ba?? may be i know din u.i-kakamusta kita kina bianca and eunice. thanks for the advice :) and hoping that these will be read by our cheering squad. minsan nga kse may pagka baduy talaga yun routine nila. at least they are improving compared last year. and they have proven it.thanks a lot:D

just a REMINDER whoever you are,. girl from ust? please don't ever compare UST SDT to mapua haven't you noticed the difference is clear as the sun! SDT commits itself only for competition such as those as UAAP and RX cheer nothing more because the group itself doesn't want to slide as "lowly" as other teams....have you ever seen them join any cheering competition where non of the great squads were represented?..the answer is a big NO!

there is no point of comparison between SDT and the group from intramuros......what we have in the UAAP is way above compare to them so stop comparing them if you can please. Mapua and the others are more inclined to join even EAT bulaga, MTB and stuff like that, while our squads are strictly forbidden to join any contest just because of monetary rewards..why so? because UST-IPEA and Sponsors provides for them well.

so to all stick to your topic about MAPUA! you girl from ust???stop making us look like we want to compare ourselves to them because it is not worth your argument! maybe if its a UAAP squad pa pero them???......i don't want to be rude or anything but girl wake-up they're ages away from what we have in the UAAP!:smokin:

I hope you know the difference between comparison & suggestion!!! I know the performance of both sides as I have witness them both...Aren't you d one who's downing this side? As far as I know this is a thread where you get to say what you think about there performance in EAT Bulaga...SDT is a dance troup & not just a cheering group...ok? Hi there!! Sorry if somebody tries to crash ur squad...i said naman ur school & squad is doing good & could still improve like some of the other teams have to do even in my previous school's squad...Now I just don't like somebody wishing my school to loose coz I know they're really one of the best...May I just know who told you na UST copied 1 of ur stunt kc I know some of them it's maybe somebody I know kc alam ko they had those stunts on 1 1st hand basis i would just like to confirm it to her...No heart feelings sana...niweiz I enjoyed watching ur squads performance aniweiz eventhough I'm not fr ur school

there is no point of comparison between SDT and the group from intramuros......what we have in the UAAP is way above compare to them so stop comparing them if you can please. Mapua and the others are more inclined to join even EAT bulaga, MTB and stuff like that, while our squads are strictly forbidden to join any contest just because of monetary rewards..why so? because UST-IPEA and Sponsors provides for them well.

so to all stick to your topic about MAPUA! you girl from ust???stop making us look like we want to compare ourselves to them because it is not worth your argument! maybe if its a UAAP squad pa pero them???......i don't want to be rude or anything but girl wake-up they're ages away from what we have in the UAAP!:smokin:


first of all, i dont want to believe that you are from SDT because of the kind of attitude you are facing with us. i think SDT has the"breeding" of a true blooded tomasian. "haven't you noticed the difference is clear as the sun!" You said earlier that SDT commits itself for competition such as those as UAAP and RX cheer. That is fine with me. What is not acceptable is that you are trying to degrade the capacity of other squads like MAPUA. You treated them as if they are "low-class" brands of your favorite perfume! The reason maybe why Mapua squad join such competitions sponsored by these noon time shows is that they lack funds and experience as well! they just participate in cheer boom bah last year,in which this is their first competition they joined in ,to gain experience on what is like to be in a cheering competition. May be you will ask "why not join RX cheer instead?!". well, that question still remains. of course, in a blooming squad like us, we must start in a competition where we think we have the chances of winning (at least) and improve ourselves and serve it as a basic training ground "since our squad is not well established as yours";)

you know, i think your mind has been poisoned by your mischievous beliefs. you think that joining these competitions of these noon-time shows is "low-class". why?? maybe because U.P. is not there, the noon-time show is too "BADUY" to participate in, schools around the metro is not that " COMPETITIVE AS YOURS", or may be you will not have 1 year supply of Nestle Non-Stop Ice Cream???!:D

ganto pu un bianca, kasi po nakalaban pu namin *** sa PSC competition. and then nung pinanood namin yung uaap, nakita namin yung stunt namin sa kanila. so alam mo na ngayun. tsaka yung sinasabi naman nung girl form ust na bat di daw kami ng floordanz eh eto ang explanation jan. hindi pu namin talaga linya ang floordancing. pang uaap lang pu un. we are more on stunts and cheerdancing. kasi mas gusto namin yung american style of cheerleading. isa pa, we dont have extra time to do that kasi we are given only 2mins. to dance. kaya nga di mo ba napansin walang hinto yung stunts namin? dito lang naman sa pilipinas nangyayari yang floordance sa cheering competition eh. yun lang.. :) :) :)

Ei there...not naman dat i'm putting you down or us squad but don't you think na UST has known the stunt your referring too it's just that di lang nila naperform yun during PSC??? It's hard naman kc na u presume na it's from ur squad diba??? Niweiz squads from the states do floor routines too as I have witness high school & college cheergroup do their dance routines & stunts when I was in Cali b4 for a vacation...You wanna make sure check-out websites such as espn & american cheerdance...you see them doing demos for floor dance & routines.

Not the stunts kaya!!! I saw na the one they did on espn kc what I'm trying to say is American Cheerleaders also do floor routines & to prove that it is being shown on that sight. Saka sa American cheerleading/cheerleader na site. Nagdedemo *** dun!! gets? Yung hindi lang nagflo-floor routine eh yung mga cheerleader sa NBA ska NFL. pero yung mga school based they do...o wag sasama ang loob ha!!!

enough of this argument! meron namang floor routines ang mapua ok?! well, if you're just watching their performance on your TV Set, you cannot really see much of thier floor routines since the cameraman focuses more on the stunts of mapua cheerleaders but if you were on the site ( mismo!) then you can say that we've done the bridges and stuff like that. too bad that the girls dances all throughout the routine. anyway, at least they have done their part. one more thing, its really hard to do floor routines that you are referring to such as crawling and the like. you have to consider also the factors that may affect your performance. well, yes truly, SDT, as you've said, can do the floor routine in your soccer field you're referring to. but take note, you should consider the fact that they have different uniforms! look at the girls of the mapua compared to SDT, its hard for them since they wore pep blooms and hanging tops. well that would be understandable, am i right??! ;)

hi! nagulat ako sa mga posts.... Salinggawi is Salinggawi. Mapua is Mapua.. magkaiba sila... style, stunts, themes... its very hard to compare, and the 2 groups should not be compared... UAAP yung isa, NCAA naman ang isa...

to those people following the 2 squads.. wag naman pag-awayin pls.. kasi for those that are members di naman yan pinag-aaksayahan ng panahon...SDT does it job, and vice versa... and sana din kung may mag post man na medyo negative ang supporter ng isa.. wag ng patulan, at magalit sa kabilang squad... followers po ***, they tend to become bias... yung mga members e wala pong kinalaman.

cheering is just a small part of Salinggawi, marami pang ibang ginagawa ang grupo being the official dance troupe of UST.

To the person who said that a stunt was copied by SDT from Mapua... alin? I was in PSC during that Puspusan sa Busan to support my former group... alin po don ang kinopya?
Are we talking about a major stunt? Major stunts done are SDT signatures. Nakita ko ang routine ng Mapua, hindi kasi ganon ang style ng SDT. Mahihirap din ang ginagawa ng Mapua, pero hindi babagay sa SDT.

Hindi parehong pareho ang routine ng Salinggawi sa PSC and sa UAAP. Magkaiba ang simula because Samsung has to be interpreted in the first part sa PSC, so yung first part sa UAAP .. first time lang nakita and SDT has to cheer for Nestle sa UAAP. Its not the same, cant be the same.

Sa pagkapanalo daw e tumaas na ang ihi...??? nabasa ko. You may be disappointed with a post of a Thomasian? SDT supporter, wag naman sana idamay ang Salinggawi. We must know better.
Salinggawi is the most awarded group in the UAAP with 4 champ titkes....wag naman po.

Mapuan cheerleaders joined the RP Cheering sqaud...alam nila how UP,DLSU,UST and even Mapua cheerleaders are now... ok po sila lahat... especially UP and UST squads na iniintriga ng mga followers. They are all friends... wala sa mga members ang mga usap usapan. Lets not be affected for them.

Salinggawi and Mapua have different styles even with the stunts.
Salinggawi is flambouyant, stiff naman ang style ng Mapua. Salinggawi dances a lot.

Though I wasnt able to watch Mapua in MTB, Im sure U guys did very well, congrats and keep on improving.

the stunts are Ok, need more practice para ma-perfect because i remember meron atang di natuloy na stunt...
need to improve your cheerdancing... and ditch the props! yun lang
