I don't enjoy drinking alcoholic beverages too much, but for me, a simple Rhumcoke is fine. I have a friend who is so into Vodka, he used to keep a bottle under his bed so he could drink every night.

if i'm drinking the whole night [as in parties ha, not pulling a bottle from under my bed ;)], anything vodka-based ... i developed a high tolerance level for it in college when i had to have something "odorless" [urban legend lang pala!] so my mom won't find out i've been out drinking with my friends during "study groups" ... if the goal is to get drunk [which i don't do anymore, promise!], then it's anything tequilla-based ... no beer for me pls since i don't like the aftertaste & the uncontrollable belching [wa-poise!] ... hard drinks anytime since i've never, ever had a hangover & i recover instantly after 30 mins' sleep [am i missing something? hehe :D]

I usually have vodka tonic, screwdriver and sub zero when I go out. I also take in a couple of tequila shots before I leave the bar or wherever. There was a week last February when I couldn't sleep without having a shot. Depressed!!! Good thing I got rid of that before I turned into a complete alcoholic!
I also like blue lagoon. Cool taste, cool color! I could stare at the glass for god knows how long!

Something really light? Hmmm.. well.. zyxthyn... if you really want it light, you can first try Sam's Hard Lemonade or 129A. You can never go wrong with Mule din. Also, you can try those cocktail drinks. They don't usually put that much and since they're mixed with something, they don't taste that bad as compared to the first shot of tequila. :)

I absolutely love flavored vodkas!! grabe! they're so good, you wouldn't even know that you're getting wasted as hell. You can even get cheap strawberry vodka (300 pesos a pop over at Cherry Foodarama :))..put 3 parts vodka and 1 part sprite...you'll down at least 8 glasses of those.... and another trick i learned from europe, get oranges, a syringe and vodka(stoli orange or limon is the best), fill the syringe with vodka then inject it into the oranges then chill the oranges and take them out just when you want to eat them....voila! vodka induced oranges!! they're so good..you'll pop in a dozen oranges and never realize that ur so *** drunk you can't even stand!!!

I normally prefer scotch in any form or label para easy on the tummy pero beer is definitely easier on the wallet. 'Pag beer time, I go for either Red Horse or Colt 45 para mas mura although good ol' San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen is always an option. I love beer chilled and taken straight from the bottle.

jack daniels or jim beam with half-cooked oysters is a winner. for beers naman, i go for the following in particular order:
1. cerveza negra
2. colt 45
3. blue ice
4. gold eagle / stag pilsen (it tastes good, believe me... kaso lang don't get caught drinking it because your social status might lose 600 pogi points)

for the imported ones naman:
1. red dog
2. miller lite
3. corona
4. grolsch

taste is relative so to each his own. and as for those of you who loathe the bitter taste of beer, here's a simple tip: add 1/8 of Cali shandi (any variant) to 7/8 of your beer, and you will not taste the bitterness anymore.

Red wine is good (and healthy); there's enough variety among brands/vintages that you can't stop trying new ones.

Scotch is also good. Single malts are preferable (a little expensive though).

3 pale pilsen (saan miguel beer)
1 Royal True Orange 500ml

mix it all together with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength. add a little Love. after you mix all the ingredients...shake the Gin Bulag bottle...get your lighter...flame it then put it directly at the Beer Gin and Royal mix...you would notice that the liquid mixture will rise up to the bottle. dnt worry there's no danger in it. relax then afterwards...prepare in your "pulutan" a simple "adobong mane" will do the work. then enjoy your TOMA TIME!

May namatay na dati dahil uminom siya ng 150 proof na lamabanog. Even Americans get drunk at one shot of lambanog. Kaya kiddo, I strongly advice you not to drink Lambanog if you have a low tolerance for Alcohol. If you do drink it, make sure you have just had a big meal as well as enough pulutan so as not to get drunk kaagad.

For cocktail drinks, I like Tequila Joe's Tropical Storm--it has rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice, among others; H2O's cocktails (anything!); and Absolut vodka with tonic. For beer, Heineken, Guiness, or Miller, while for non-alcoholic drinks, I like calamansi soda, lemonade, or a diet drink. I don't drink regular sodas. :)

If you have a lot of dark drinks (eg. Johnnie, La Tondena dark rum/ Bacardi---avoid Tanduay) have a lot of Coca-cola handy.

this is a little off-topic, but i'd like to share this little tip with everyone. if you're throwing a party, or you just want to make a gathering more interesting, buy some watermelons and/or melons, and a big bottle of vodka.

Take the melons/watermelons, and cut a whole on top of each. It will help to carve out the seeds and leave a hollow part inside. Then pour as much vodka as you can in each and cap them off with the pieces that you cut out from the tops.

After about ten minutes, slice the melons/watermelons and serve. If you want the alcohol content to be higher, let them stand for more than ten minutes. the longer you wait while the fruits are absorbing the alcohol, the more alcohol content, the more interesting the effect. :D
