naalala ko tuloy yung last title ng letran sa NCAA noong 1998, nasa hulihan kami ng standing sa 1st round humabol nalang kami sa 2nd round thru the help of KERBY RAYMUNDO kaya napasama

kami sa final 4, tapos we have to beat THE SAN SEBASTIAN GOLDEN STAGS twice kase they are the no.1 team sa standings thats the rule diba no.4 vs no.1.....yun tinalo namin sila twice and we entered the FINALS kalaban ang JOSE RIZAL COLLEGE na tinalo kami sa 1st round ng elimination, tinalo nami sila sa 2nd round ng elimination grabeeeeeeee parehong pareho ang naganap TINALO NAMIN ANG JRU 2-1 sa CHAMPIONSHIP! GAME1 FOR letran GAME2 for JRU and GAME 3 kami na!

kaya yun sa labas ng ULTRA binato at winasak ng ibang taga JRU salamin ng mga auto ng mga LETRANISTA di naman nangyari yon ngayon sa LA SALLE/ATENEO game!

nangyari yun against JRU 3 1999.millenium championship yun.tsaka di na umabot ng game 3 yun kasi sweep po natin yung JRU.MVP is kerby raymundo...........

I remember my boss telling me stories of NCAA where one of the reasons that Ateneo bolted away from NCAA was because of the violence that errupted after an Ateneo Letran game.

BTW, my boss spent a night in jail after that game along with other supporters, albeit on separate cells.

If I'm not mistaken, Ateneo quit the NCAA after a riotous championship with San Beda in '77. The finals had to be played behind closed doors. Then 3 years later sumunod ang La Salle after getting into a fracas with Letran.:p

Dont worry man . . . you are correct !!! *okay*. . . that 1977 championship game between Ateneo and San Beda was held behind closed doors in Araneta because of the violence that came with the title series . . . quite ironic considering how huge the Big Dome is and there were no spectators only officials and players . . . back then Ateneo was led by the likes of JB Carpio, Fritz Gaston and Steve Watson, and San Beda had JV Yango, Frankie Lim and Chito Loyzaga . . . and i think in 1978, Ateneo finally left the NCAA.

In 1982, a melee (an understatement! :D ) accompanied a La Salle-Letran game . . . which made RMC look like a virtual war zone . . . after the fracas, Danding Cojuangco and his "boys" visited the Letran campus and the Letran folks in Intramuros for some "pleasantries" :lol: . . . that same year La Salle left the NCAA and San Beda took an indefinite leave of absence . . . subsequently, La Salle joined the UAAP and San Beda re-joined the NCAA.
