That sounds absolutely preposterous.
How come rejects from Engineering programs of UST go to Mapua?

I have 5 blockmates (when I was a freshman student then), who transferred to UST after just one year of stay in the Institute, and they haven't even taken some major subjects at that time. Reasons? Failing basic courses and some of them, sad to say, cannot afford the high tuition fees of the school (which is higher than UST)...
Maybe its the other way around... Don't you think?
In fairness to UST, they produced a lot of undeniably great alumni in different professions.

I'm not trying to make a funny statement.

In my opinion the schools that still doesn't accept kickouts are UP,Ateneo,La Salle and UST.The remaining schools that I didn't mention accept kickouts. When I left UST, the schools that accepted me were U.E, F.E.U., San Beda and Benile. Most people who came from UST to Letran are not kickouts.Usually, they are 3 units away from being debarred.But since Letran and UST are sister schools (both are Dominicans) they give some leeway and are not strict to thomasians, if ever they want to transfer. It's like Benilde and La Salle.Also, Letran just doesn't accept transferees that easily.They are getting stricter and picky to students who want to transfer.

Not all people who studies in Letran are, should I say, lacking upthere.These are really misconceptions. For example in UP, if you get kick out from the college of engineering you can transfer to a non quota course, like for example, taking a librarian course.Now, can anyone say that UP has low academic standards just because that is their policy?.There are no perfect schools and everyone has their share of bad apples.

I don't have anything to say against the friars that are running Letran.It's just that they want to give some chance to others. In fact they are very good in running the school and providing us with excellent christian values. Our school is very clean, we have modern facilities and we have excellent teachers.
