Depende sa call center, pero ang alam ko sa PeopleSupport, meron silang mga 11 shifts. Am, pm, at 9 na GY shifts.
As for shift permanence, that is not usually the case, unless you are servicing a US-based client during their business hours.

Kami we have basically three shifts - morning, mid-shift and night shift.
Yung morning is 5a-330p. Mid-shift is 2p-1130p.
Night shift is either 8p-530a, 9p-630a or 10p-730a.
We service North American clients so our peak hours are their business hours.
That may be the case kaya permanent night shift and offer sa yo.
My friend who used to work at SVI Connect had a permanent night shift sked.
If you're not used to being awake when everyone else is asleep it can be difficult and would need some time to get used to. But in time you'll be able to adjust since it's a permanent sked. :)

Call centers have multiple schedules. Some run 2 shifts (1 in the night, 1 in the morning), others run 24x7. It really depends kung ano market nung call center. Then they base the scheduling dun sa markets. Yung shuffling ng schedule ranges from 6 weeks to 3 months. Minsan nga pag nag-introduce ng bagong sked, palit ng sked lahat ng reps. San call center ka ba?

Ey guys! I work in a call center here in Makati. We have a lot of shifts in GY or graveyard 9 to 6; 10 to 7; 11 to 8; 12 to 9 and 1 to 10. In AM naman 4 to 1 (my shift!); 5 to 2; 6 to 3; 7 to 4; 10 to 7 and 1 to 10. Daming shift 'no.
Most call centers have a bond meaning you are bound to work with them say, 6 or 12 months. Di pede mag-resign within that period otherwise you'd have to pay a certain amount of money like where i work, it's 20T. :ayaw:
Finally, think very carefully kung saan magandang call center pumasok. Dami na kasing call centers ngayon and not all of them eh ok. I can recommend INFOnxx though. Directory assistance nga lang ang work kaya medyo boring pero ganda office, high pay. Or you can apply where I work. I submitted my resignation na eh, my last day here is sept.14. Pero mag-work pa din ako dito part-time na nga lang kung tuloy yung offer sa kin when i submitted my resignation. One last tip, most call centers service US-based clients kaya before applying POLISH your english usage both written and verbal. If possible learn American Accent and imitate how Americans speak. *okay*
Goodluck to all and keep COOL!!!! :rocker:
