When going out, what kund of music gets you to stand up and dance?

For me, it would be r&b music and techno music. I'm not really into the pop and "bubble gum" music.

Any of the usual dance songs, basta huwag lang yung mga sobrang weird na remix, lalo na yung techno version ng "My Heart Will Go On." Incidentally, don't you just hate it when they make techno-remix versions of slow, senti songs?

ChiQui, I have a couple of gothic mp3s if you want. :) But the closest sort of music I can think of is.. The Cure? ehehehe.. ethereal music... You could try looking for songs by Switchblade Symphony and Bel Canto.

Gothic is basically New Wave. Zen is right, The Cure would be the best example of goth, as well Sisters of Mercy.

Gothic is characterized by its theme and not the beat. Its theme is darkness, loneliness or sorrow, despair. But you get the usual up-beat, ethereal kind that makes you want to dance, even in the most unconventional way. ;)

Any music that ear finds attractive, whether I've heard the song or not, will make me get on the dance floor and shake! hehe... :) The music has to be good, not so much as the lyrics. Anything from R&B to techno to pop (I love dancing to Britney! LOL...) to swing to salsa! If the music gets me to snake my head and tap my shoes, rest assured I'll be gettin down! :D
