Although the MCDONALD'S ALL-AMERICAN was for high school hoopsters in the US, why not try it here in the Philippines?

It could be the MCDONALD'S ALL-FILIPINO and would showcase the best collegiate players in the land. The UAAP ALL-STARS up against the NCAA's best.

:bounce2: :bounce2: :bounce2:

The festivities would feature the usual slam-dunk, three-point and two-ball competitions. I'm sure it would be a big treat to all basketball fanatics.

Being in the All-Star squad could also boost the cager's credentials and add another accomplishment in their resumes once they enter the pro ranks.

i was juz looking through your thread and came across this lil post. Dr_Heck, What the HELL are you on about?! i don't get it... how is that an attempt to climb the social ladder? How how how???? it just doesn't connect man....

are you saying that anyone who makes a valid and good suggestion that only looks out for ways to make the uaap and ncaa more enjoyable for spectators and the players alike is looking for A WAY TO CLIMB THE SOCIAL LADDER?!?!?!

ryan_jamsession is juz saying that it can give the players a chance to show off their other skills in bball that they undoubtedly all have. what is so wrong about having an all-star game thing that can show everyone what the UAAP has and what the NCAA has? i mean, come on! it can increase awareness for those that don't follow both leagues! this is a GOOD thing.. do you have trouble recognizing what is GOOD?!?!?!?!

but really, that social climbing thing just doesn't connect man. what the hell does that have to do with the NCAA and the UAAP? enlighten me if you please man. because right now, you ain't making any sense.

dude, if you are from a low class institution (As you put it) as your lack of sense is clearly showing, tough sh*t man. don't take it out on other people.

as far as i'm concerned, i don't see anything wrong with this. so i can't really figure out how your comment fits in.

so wsup dude?!
What are you really on about?!?!?!?

lately na lang naman nag improve ang UAAP nang mag champion ang DLSU.

remember the games between SSC and UST during the 90's? SSC won over UST. why? is it because SSC is from the NCAA?

Dude, i think *** he's tryin to say is dat the present crop of UAAP players is no match for the NCAA players, not that the NCAA is an inferior league and I personally agree with him too because the UAAP superstars(cortez, baguio, villanueva, yap, alvarez, etc) will eat their ncaa superstar counterparts alive.:D:D:D

Peace!!!!!

It's a bit sad that the best senior players opt to play with the UAAP. The UAAP schools are more aggresive kasi in recruiting players from the junior ranks. But in fairness, a number of the UAAP players come from the NCAA juniors (eg SBC Red Cub's Ritualo, Tenorio and Tabique, Letran's JC Intal etc)

So, as of now, I think the NCAA all-stars will be no match to their UAAP counterparts. But maybe a UAAP-NCAA juniors all-star game will be more exciting :D
