the issue of finances obviously weighs a lot on our minds. and as we all know, raising a family is a very expensive proposition. but do men feel more pressure to succeed in society?
i was raised in a single-income family myself. it's only lately that i've come to realise the enormity of the responsibility that my dad has willingly undertaken. providing for the basic necessities is a daunting task in itself. not to mention the little, and not-so-little, extras.
personally, i feel that this places undue stress on a marriage or on any type of relationship. i, for one, wouldn't expect any man to provide for me for this very reason. i'd rather have an equal partnership, sharing all the responsibilities.
but how do you feel? do women expect to be taken care of? and how do men these days really feel about being the breadwinner?
