:spinstar: for small/thin to regular sized people:
greenhills
tutuban

:spinstar: for small/thin, regular, and extra size people:
SM Surplus Shop

:spinstar: some tips:
- go for classic stuff ... it'll last thru fads
- mix & match tops & bottoms so you'll seem to have more clothes
- check out current designs or styles of designer labels and look for a cheaper version or look a like (ex. if the current display on the window of Marks & Spencer is a plain blouse or polo paired with slacks ... i'm sure there'll be other stores selling those generic looking clothes for a cheaper price)
- if you would go for fake shirts, bags, accessories, etc. do avoid wearing the ones with big logos 'coz it becomes more obvious that it's fake AND you also become a walking free advertisment.

ako...kuripot ako when it comes to clothes...pero syempre i also look at the quality and style :)

i buy most of my clothes from shopwise (i saw a blouse there worth mga P150, tapos i saw the same blouse sa ibang store na P350!!!); SM's bargain place....ano nga pala tawag dun?? ah! yung surplus shop...pero i suggest na pumunta ka sa mga SM na hindi gaano napupuntahan tulad ng SM Harrison kasi mas marami silang natitirang good stocks, i was able to buy a nice pair of pants dun for P200, dami ko pa ngang gusto bilihin e...pero wala na akong pera..hehehe; Robinson's Dept. store; and last but not the least.....ukay-ukay!! got most of my nice vintage jackets there.. hehe :D

and for your shoes and bags.....try mo rin sa SM.

hope i was able to help:)

goodluck!!

Tiangges: Greenhills Shopping Center, Red Lane, Gold Crest
Outlet stores: Designer Depot, Outlet Yard
Department stores
and if you do want designer items, wait for them to go on sale.

*If the idea of wearing 2nd hand items is fine with you, get clothes from Ukay-ukay.

Sa Tutuban, or sa SM malls na lang.

Berma sa Baclaran or kahit na yung mga stalls sa tabi-tabi.

Kung sa Baguio, may malaking ukay-ukay shop doon kaso you won't always get the best deal. Hindi ka masyado makakatawad. Besides, you don't need to go there when there are lots of ukay-ukay here in Manila.

Basta, BACLARAN parin and da best!

The prices of quality clothes in Phils are exorbitant. Spcialty outlets are disinclined to reduce their items during sale time, or if they do its a lousy 15% disc. Unlike other places like the US or Australia, they heavily reduce their prices by as much as 50% to 75% even!
If yur European branded, watch out for Linea Italia's reduced sale season (january). For cheap, good quality clothes, nothing beats SURPLUS at megamall (the only one Ive been to). I bought a pair of Levi's shorts from HK (EXCELLENT FABRIC and color) for P100! :glee: I was laughing my head off from the steal! as other PEXErs said, u just have to be patient digging stuff...

I used to go to TIMEX often to watch out for the sale of my dream watch. Syempre balik ako ng balik so memorize ko na mga prices nila. Nag sale sila ng up to 75% but you know, tinaasan lang nila yung prices and made it appear that the items were really on sale! Like yung mga watches nila na priced at 3,000 ginawa nilang 5,000 tapos 50% off daw! ANG DAYA TALAGA!

GARAPALAN yan! :glee:
Hindi lang yata TIMEX gumagawa nyan eh, even other shops and stores have the audacity to promote such lame marketing gimmick.
The prices of Orig labels in phils are exorbitant! Imagine, a pair of Polo Ralph Chinos at the RL shop at Greenbelt cost around P3,700, here in SYdney you could get it for P2,500 or when sale time comes it could go down to P2,200 pa! What more kung pumunta ka pa ng factory outlets, you could get orig stuff for P1,500!

i would recommend mango and topshop but since you're on a tight budget and the sale season is over...check out the stuff from greenhills na lang. plus there's always the former redlane at g3 and hip at power plant.:)

Divisoria or Tutuban
stores on sale esp. the usu. expensive ones like Mango or U and Jill in Rustans. Their sale items aren't bad.

Actually you don't need to wear designer stuff all the time or at all, no one will care.

I agree. You really have to dig through stuff to get the best bargains in quality clothes. You'd be surprised how Rustan's marks-down their imports during sale season. I have been getting a lot good buys from there recently.

Patience... patience...patience.

You might want to spend a whole day in the mall. There would always and forever be a store that'll be on sale (with markdowns that are ridiculously low). Like right now, Bench still has a sale, so does Anonymous. They have cheap offerings that won't really disappoint. By the way, what's your budget for clothes? I would also recommend ArtWorks, really nice digs for around 250.

I honestly shy away from Department store clothes, coz it's either pre-faded (unintentionally, of course) or would break apart after just 3 wearings and washings.
